When my husband and I honeymooned at Disneyworld in 1994 they had a radio station for Disney. Once you got closer to the park you could pick it up. They would give info on what was going on at the parks and they played a song "We're going to Disneyworld". We have taken our boys several times and have never been able to find the station again. Does anyone know if the station is still out there somewhere and I'm just not finding it.

Were you driving when you heard that station? If yes, what you're probably thinking of was Disney Radio, a low-power FM station licensed to Columbia, Florida near the junctions of I-75 and I-10 in Lake City. Billboards facing southbound drivers advertised the station which played about a half-hour loop of Disney characters talking about some of the attractions in the theme parks. Every half hour there was an update on the weather at Disney World as well as which resorts had rooms that night. Listeners were urged to stop at the Disney Information Center in Ocala to book rooms and purchase theme park tickets. The station's range was less than 50 miles but enough to hear the entire loop. Neither the information center or the radio station are around anymore.

Theme songs:
We're going to Disney World, we must be getting mighty close to Disney World"!
