Disneyworld end of the year trip help!

So my girlfriend and I are planning on visiting Disneyworld at the end of the year. So we have 2 dates that are possible either

12/27-12/30 or
1/2-1/5

Is there any merits or extra stuff In the parks before new years? I know Christmas time ends start of January so just wondering if the full experience will be better before New Years. Any pro Disneyworld travelers help greatly appreciated!

If you really like Christmas/NYE and would love the holiday ambiance, I'd go from 12/27-30 because Disney truly goes all out for the holidays. Tons of decor, special holiday fireworks/nighttime shows (even two different fireworks shows at Magic Kingdom), dressed up characters.

If you just want to do rides/have a chill vacation, absolutely go during 1/2-5-- that's definitely a low time as most vacationers will be leaving to go back to school, or after the holidays. However, all the Christmas/NYE stuff will either be gone or in the process of being taken down at this point.
