DisneyVisa Rewards - Use for Hotel Charges??

By the time I arrive at my on-site hotel, I'll have accumulated enough Disney Rewards to trim some of my incidental expenses during our stay.

Is it possible to use my earned Rewards (transferred to a Rewards Card, or course) as I check-out of my on-site hotel to pay down any accumulated charges collected on the credit card account (my Disney Visa card again) that I set up on check-in? In other words, will the hotel take payment of these on-site charges with Disney Rewards Bucks?

We did this last December and it was great. That way it kind of felt like we hadn't spent as much on souvies and drinks.
Tha difference I put on the Disney Visa to earn reward $$$ for the next trip.
I seem to be always planning the next trip.
We have $148 saved for our trip that starts in 5 days.
Probably going to use that to add park hopper to our tix.

We've done this very thing on our last few visits. I have always given the CM our Rewards card upon check in, and then start with a positive balance. I did forget once to do this when we checked in, and went down to do it the next day. For some reason it was a big deal...they had to issue all 5 of us new key cards, show ID, and I had to resign the paperwork. Since then I always do it at the beginning of our trip. Hope this helps
