Plan: Check-in Disneys Beach Club Villas
Actual: We left Indianapolis 1.5 hours behind schedule and made our 16 hour drive to Disneys Beach Club Villas. We had to Spring forward at 2 am and lost an hour of time but checked in at the resort about 3:30pm. I remembered to go online and check-in, so check in was a breeze. We received our Keys to the World, member perks book, maps, weekly activity sheet, and tour books. Our home 371. We requested the 30-minute courtesy parking, so we could have Bell Services bring up our luggage and go to Walmart for groceries. We got to our home and we were not able to get in. After trying all 5 keys, we hopped on the elevator to return to the front desk. However, DH suggested we use the phone near the elevator to call and we were told that a runner would be up to assist us immediately. Well, immediately was 20 minutes and still no one came, so housekeeping took pity on us and let us in the Villa. We called for our luggage and called Valet to inform them there was no way we would be back down by the 30-minutes limit. Valet was very understanding and then there was a knock at the door. Two Cast Members arrived to check our keys and the door. No surprise, it was the keys and they would return with a new set. Luggage arrived while we waited and upon her quick return, we received 5 new keys. We headed down to valet, grabbed the car, used OnStar to guide us to the nearest Walmart Superstore and got our groceries. Bell Services kindly helped DH unload the car and once we were home we called for our groceries. We unpacked and decided to head to Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney. This is one of our new family favorites. DH got the Tuna Melt and Broccoli Cheddar soup, DD(13) got the Chicken Caesar Salad and Potato and Bacon soup, DD(8) got the Ham and Swiss and Broccoli and Cheddar soup, DS got the Kids Pizza Sandwich, and I got the Earl Club Sandwich and Tomato soup. Excellent! We shopped a little, got my Cotton Candy, and headed home. Everyone was pooped.
