Hello my fellow Canadians!

I'm thinking about ordering a few new t-shirts from disneyshopping.com but am wondering if any of you have ordered from this site and if the shipping costs are reasonable?

Thanks for all your insight!

I inquired about a year ago and shipping was over $100 to Canada but free if you have a US address. Unless you have a US address you can get the product to, it won't be worth it.

I never paid 100 to ship to canada...I think it waqs pretty reasonable actually. I did get hit with a customs bill though...I bought 12 tshirts I think at 3 dollars american each and with shiping and customs and exchange it came out to around 7 a tshirt I think...or there abouts.

I order about once every 4-6 months; depends on the sale, and if we really need anything (okay, need is perhaps the wrong word). In any case, DisneyShopping dropped their rates to Canada last year. My most recent order was huge (like a massive 45lb box) and it cost me $26US for shipping. It arrived UPS Express. I got hit pretty badly in customs, thanks to the UPS line item charges they've put into place; but it was still cheaper than buying at the Disney Store locally (at that time, we still had a Disney Store in Ottawa).

If you can ship and hold at a UPS depot (if you're close to the border), it's a great way to save even more money. Or, as a friend just suggested; we might start getting together on orders, to help split shipping and customs.

Glad to hear they've reduced shipping. I used them for Cdn delivery once when it was a really, really good sale, but I get so cranky about fees!

OP, you'll be there the same time as we will. I may get some stuff shipped to me at the resort. We did this last time, and arrived to a box of new Disney stuff to kick off the trip. Give it a good amount of time to clear the shipping process, but you're there for 10 days, so you should be fine. We ran into a little problem with an order that arrived more than a week before we did--took them a while to find it after we checked in and requested it. Some resorts now charge a package handling fee (CSR, where we are staying this time.) We have also had orders from amazon.com, LL Bean, and other places, waiting for us at the resort, and we just include the value in our trip duty free exemptions when we come home.

Not what you asked, really, but worth considering perhaps. :)

I saw your ticker says 55 days to WDW trip, so why don't you ship to the resort you are staying at?

It is definately cheaper to do shipping within USA.

I did this for my last trip in December 2008 and it was a nice feeling when I checked in and the CM said - We have a package we are holding for you :goodvibes

I did my order about 2-3 weeks before I left, and put the address of the resort as my address and also added date of check-in on the name line, so that the CM's would know what was going on.

I will do the same this year for my upcoming trip in September/October and will start checking out what is available to buy in August.

HTH
