Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

Today is my day 61. Tonight I make my fast pass reservations, but I am already hearing Anna and Elsa FP are all gone :-(

Don't fret. You might want to stay up and make your reservations at midnight. I did, and there was availability every day for Anna and Elsa at multiple times for our mid-August trip. Good luck!

Joining in! Just booked a stay at BCV on rented DVC points for 6/6-6/12/16. We are doing a split stay and chose BCV for the first leg of our stay. Have never stayed at BC/YC/BCV before and am super excited!
You will LOVE Stormalong Bay I'm sure!:bounce: We stayed at BC twice but never BCV! CANNOT WAIT! Hoping to hear more about renovation progress in the next couple of months:goodvibes:wave2:

I already made mousekeeping envelops (and stuffed them) and made lists of every option slushies and smoothies in all parks by location. The next compilation will be appetizers (because we do not have the dining plan!) so that our party of four can pick one (maybe two if we can't decide) without an argument or hurt feelings while we relax at the table service places I reserved. I also need to revisit my list of snacks, which is old, and no longer is very accurate. They no longer have stuffed pretzels at the Launching Pad from what I hear. If anyone has a snack list - I would love a copy!
Please pardon if this is a noob question, but what are mousekeeping envelops, and why must they be stuffed?

Mouse keeping is what a lot of people call housekeeping. Some guests like to make cute envelopes to hold tips for them each day. It's cute and gives us something to do. I don't make elaborate ones, but I do pre stuff them with about $5 for each morning of our visit. It makes getting out the door easier as I'm not scrambling for dollar bills,

Ahh, I see. That makes perfect sense, and is an excellent idea!

Hi. I am not a coffee drinker, so am unfamiliar with the coffee makers provided at the resort. With this newer Keurig type machine, is it possible to just heat up some water for kids oatmeal ? ( to avoid trip down to food area in the am). Thanks!!

Proud mummy alert. My DD aced her SATS with 5 grade for Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling and Math. She has also thoroughly enjoyed Transition Week to "big" school. One more week of term and we finally get out for summer. We Brits are soooo far behind in the holiday stakes.

We are off to Greece in a few weeks, and my app informs me its only 400 days to Florida WOOP.

Thank you! Once DH saw pictures of Stormalong Bay he could not be talked out of trying to stay there. We are planning one full down day at the resort just so he and the kids can enjoy it. I am so excited, especially in light of the fact that it looks like the rooms will be newly renovated! EPCOT is my favorite park, so I'm thrilled to be staying at an EPCOT resort for the first time. The second leg of our trip will be at BLT, which I already know I love. :)

Congratulations on those test scores!

Thank you all for you post about Anna and Elsa it's making me feel a bit better . I am ready to stay up all night, I keep begging my DH to stay up with me. He is not yet on board. LOL
Here is my drama, we arrive 9/8-9/17. We are doing MK on 9/9 with my husband's nephew and his daughter who is 4 and loves A&E. He is driving in for Jacksonville, they are staying at Pop for 1 night just to get the FP for MK.( Because I told him he needed too) That is why I have to get A&E for the 9th. The four of us, DH, DD &DD & I are going back to MK on the 15th and the 16th. I know I can get my girls into A&E on the 16th but I feel so bad letting down my DH"s nephew's daughter :(

Yes you can just run water through it...just be sure to do a "first run" with tap water to remove the yucky cleaning stuff they use (which will make EVERYTHING taste awful, and I'm not sure how healthy it is to drink anyway!). I usually buy a gallon of water from the store for making coffee, tea, or what ever else. If you use the tap water for the first rinse through, then the bottled water for the REAL cycle, you should be good to go.

September 9th is not going to be crowded. If I can get a fastpass in August, you should be fine. In fact, I'm a little jealous. All the lines will be shorter, no wait in restrooms, you might even be able to see the ground without a wall of people walking into you. : o )

Hi all! Has anyone seen Oreo Bon Bons for sale at the Marketplace lately? They weren't available the week I was there in May. I just booked YC for August and I don't know if I can look forward to them or if they're gone for good .

I so hope your right. That website the Dibb states they are all gone

I'm in the same boat. We arrive @ Sept. 7 and are staying only until Sept. 12, so my FP selection days are much more limited with a shorter stay. It is IMPERATIVE we see A&E on Sept. 9 b/c my little one turns 5 that day and this is her birthday trip and her ONE WISH is to visit with A&E. Unfortunately, I saw that one day before I could book my FPs, Sept. 9 was all gone for A&E. When I could finally book (yes, I stayed up until midnight), status was the same. So I am checking on a daily basis; if we can't get any FP for that day, we'll just go early in the morning. TP shows that our wait should be "only" about 30 minutes so hopefully, that will hold true.

Good news is that it was no problem at all for me to book any of our other FPs, including 7DMT, TSMM and other popular attractions, even for the time slots I wanted. No trouble at all.
