Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

For the people who booked a bounce back offer while at Disney. What is the deposit required, one night, or is it a lower deposit?

:rainbow::rainbow:

It depends on what you book. If it's a package, you put $200 down. Room only bookings require one night stay.

We're in 5708 right now. Since we never actually go out on the balcony, it seems like more of a garden view because you can't see the rooftop unless you get really close. And you can see the Epcot ball which is nice...especially at night when it's lit up:)
I loved that room!

It was kinda far from the lounge, but so very quiet.. And we sat on the balcony for breakfast and enjoyed watching the front area

I also remember seeing somewhere along the line on this thread that you were looking for tennis court pictures? I took these specifically for this thread but wasn't able to figure out how to post them.

Thank you so much! I do want tennis court pictures since they seem to be so rare.

I'll add them to the front page when I get a chance!

:thumbsup2

Is there a place somewhere that shows things like "How do you get to the _______________ from the Beach Club?" with Disney Transportation? I know that buses go to AK and MK and walk to Epcot etc., but what about if we are trying to go to places like Trail's End Restaurant or the Ohana restaurant? I am making dining reservations and am just wondering about getting places. We have 6 people and too many for one taxi so I would like to see how Disney Transportation gets us to some of the other resorts before I decide on times for dinners and breakfasts. Thanks!

Add me to the list of people who LOVE Southwest. :goodvibes I take about 12 flights with them a year and they've never lost my luggage. I am a very heavy packer, I love to bring everything I own when I'm in WDW ;) so the kids and I usually check at least 4-5 bags. Most of which are mine. :rotfl: Coming home from WDW I always have shopping bags with purchases and they never question me about having too many bags. I love their employees, so friendly! :thumbsup2

I have been wondering the same thing!! I wish there was a sticky somewhere that would list every point to point destination! I know there is one about A to B but there are hundreds of pages to look through!

That's actually part of my job. To get to my favorite buffet for breakfast and dinner (Trail's End) from the Beach Club, you would take the bus to Magic Kingdom and then get on the boat to Ft. Wilderness. The boat docks right close to where Trail's End Is located.

To get to Ohana's from the Beach Club, take the bus to Magic Kingdom and then get on the Resort Monorail (not to be confused with the Express Monorail) or the boat to the Polynesian. I prefer the boat.

It is definitely far from the lounge, but we didn't want the noise that tends to be close to the lounge. We've been eating in the lounge at around 10am so it's pretty cleared out by then:)

For those days when Teena isn't there, here's an online CALCULATOR for getting from one place to another.. using Disney transportation - apparently the driving directions really isn't working right now...

Hi, just found this thread, and haven't read the whole thing, so please excuse me if this question has been answered already. Does anyone know, does the Yacht Club offer a guided tour of the resort (as some other WDW resorts do)? Thanks in advance.

:welcome:

I am not aware of any formal tour of the Yacht Club (or Beach Club), but what a neat idea. I don't think the resorts lend themselves to an organized tour as well as a place like Wilderness Lodge or Animal Kingdom Lodge, where there is a lot of stuff to visit indoors and out.

But we can direct you to the fake elevator in the Beach Club Lobby! It is the first one on the right as you face the Marketplace. Go around to the back and you will see a bank of pay phones where the elevator should be.

Do you have an upcoming trip booked? Let us know the dates if you would like to be added to the Be Our Guest list on Page 1.

:woohoo:

Mears usually has taxi vans for larger groups. Not sure about car seats, though if you need those for the twins. Anyone know?

I think the cost is the same as a regular cab, but I'm not positive. Can anyone confirm that?

:car:

GRRRR!!!!

Is anyone else having issues with multi-quote? I am trying to post replies to comments from page 7-10 and I keep getting an error.

:confused3

We stayed at the Yacht Club last November. Absolutely loved it! We had booked a Garden view room but were upgraded to a lagoon view room which we loved. We are planning on going back next year and want to book the lagoon view this time.

I noticed when I was looking online that the quiet pool is considered part of the lagoon view category. Is that right? My only request when we booked last time was that we be close to the lobby. That would be our same request next year as well but I'm thinking if there's a chance we might end up by the quiet pool maybe I shouldn't pay the extra for the lagoon view?

Any thoughts?

:welcome: back!

I see you have updated your signature, so I will add you to the Be Our Guest list for November of 2016.

:cool1:

I can confirm that Mears charge the same rate for the larger vans and they will provide a car booster seat if requested but I'm not sure if they have baby seats.

Dee, thank you for all your hard work setting up this new home.:thanks:

Our dates have shifted a little bit due to my daughter transferring colleges. Would you please change our dates to 8/2/15 - 8/13/15 on the Be Our Guest list? We will still be at BC. Now I need to finish figuring out our FP+ selections since I have to make them early next week.

Got it! I'll update the list.

:goodvibes:
