Haven't had a chance to catch up on this thread yet. Just returned yesterday from the Yacht Club Regatta Club.

This was our first time staying at Yacht Club, and it was absolutely glorious! I have completely fallen in love with the convenience of the location. We walked to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios, no problem. We also had views of the fireworks over at Epcot and then also at the cast member party at Hollywood Studios on our last night.
We were welcomed up to the lounge check in desk and were treated to (huge) glasses of the welcome champagne. Either they were out of champagne glasses or I was giving off champagne lovin' vibes, because they returned with pilsner glasses filled to the brim. Our room wasn't ready, but that was fine as we planned to do some exploring around the Epcot resorts (all of which are beautiful). We received an upgrade from garden view to lagoon view, so the wait was worth it.
We spent the afternoon enjoying SAB. Oh. My. Gosh. Pictures do not do this pool justice. I thought I was prepared for how big and awesome it was but once I actually saw it with my own eyes, I was totally blown away. We had SO much fun. We don't have children, but I know that when I was a kid I would have ADORED that pool. Would love to take a BC/YC trip once we do have our own kids old enough to enjoy SAB.
The lounge construction on the club level is definitely visible. However, we were down waaaay down a long hall (room 5239), so it didn't really bother us (aside from walking halfway to our room on plastic they'd rolled out over the carpet in the hallway). We found the temporary lounge in the presidential suite to be a real treat. We were always able to find seats, and most times sat outside on the balcony and enjoyed some privacy and the beautiful view of the Boardwalk. We really enjoyed the breakfast offerings in the lounge each morning. We only stopped in for "snack" service once. However, we found ourselves being less "commando" with our touring style this trip because we wanted to be sure to make time to pop by the lounge for the appetizer and dessert services.
One thing I did notice was that there were definitely quite a few dishes/glasses left out along the walls in the hallways. The rooms are definitely in need of a refurb, but since I was prepared for that it the wear/tear didn't really bother me. Everything was clean, and that's what was most important. The beds were comfortable, although our first night the room next to us came back a bit later and we could easily hear them through the walls. Not sure if that's just the YC walls in general, or if it was just this particular family.
Overall, LOVED LOVED LOVED our experience at YC, and would happily stay there again. Thanks so much for all the informative posts that I read here over the past several months. Yall were so helpful, and I don't think I'd have enjoyed our stay nearly as much but for everybody on this thread!
