Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

This is what I found on Shipt:
Membership cost- https://help.shipt.com/pricing/how-much-is-a-shipt-membership?from_search=24987369
Pricing/delivery- https://help.shipt.com/pricing/how-are-your-prices-determined?from_search=24987385
Alcohol - https://help.shipt.com/how-shipt-works/can-i-order-alcohol?from_search=24987398

I talked to my cousin about his experience and he said it was great, but he did say he had to meet the delivery person even though he didn’t have any alcohol so I’m not sure about. I’m wondering if it was a new delivery person and they were not aware the Bell Services would hold the groceries or he told them that so he could get a tip :smooth:.
Thanks! I'm working on compiling the information so this helps :) Shipt does state that you need to be present for delivery, so I think that even though Bell Services WOULD hold them, they won't leave them there. Typically you can tip in app so I don't know that that would be the reason. I have the same experience with Instacart at home. Someone has to be home for delivery - they won't leave them.

General notes on Alcohol Delivery: Garden Grocer is the only service that explicitly states it will leave alcohol orders with Bell Services. You have to supply a picture of your ID before your delivery for them to leave it at Bell Services. There have been reports of other services leaving alcohol with Bell Services (specifically Amazon Prime Now) but that is not guaranteed.

WOW!!!

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for!

You put a lot of work into this and I can't believe how quickly you put it together.

Many thanks from me, and from the many others you will be helping.

Hi all! So we will be checking into the BC in two months!!
I am about to call in my room requests but I’m unsure exactly how to ask for what I’m wanting.
We booked a water/pool view.
I am wanting a room in between Epcot and SAB. Would using that verbage be clear enough or should I ask for a room near the volley ball court to make it simpler? (We would prefer to not have a pool view.)
I’m also wanting to ask for a full balcony. Would it be okay to ask for those two things or is that too much?
:cool2:

Just about all of the resort rooms at the BC are in between SAB and Epcot, so that description will not be helpful. :) I would stick with a request near volleyball court and a full balcony.

I agree- this is probably the best way to word your request.

"Full balcony, please. Near volleyball courtyard"

It is unclear to me whether "Lake view" to indicate a preference over a pool view is a helpful request. Anyone have any thoughts about that?

:thumbsup2

Yes it is new from what I understand.

Thanks so much for this picture! May I use it for the Club Level info Post on Page 1?

Can you tell me why you prefer Garden Grocer when you get alcohol delivered? I have used other delivery services, but have never had alcohol delivered. That said, for our trip in August, I am thinking cold beer in the room might be very, very refreshing. :)

:welcome:

Where are you staying in August?

:goodvibes

Just booked by Beach Club stay for next month. (August) Excited!

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

We'll be at YC Dec 12-18 on a surprise trip for our 2 boys! I hope it will be warm enough for kids to swim and I'm excited for the easy walk to Epcot! Thanks to all for the tips here - it's been so helpful already.

:welcome: to this forum and posting on the DIS.

I'll add you to the guest list.

:woohoo:

Another thank you to @niccikatie for the detailed grocery delivery post. Super helpful!

I echo this! Thank you so much!

Oh good! I'm glad it's what you wanted. I like to be able to give back when I've gotten so much help from these boards. I had already done quite a bit of the research for my own trip and you caught me at the perfect time :)

If you would like to be added to the "Be Our Guest" List, post on this thread with the dates of your stay, which resort (BC, YC, BCV) and any other info you want to include (special birthday or anniversary celebration, first Disney trip, family gathering, etc.)

We'll be at YC Dec 12-18 on a surprise trip for our 2 boys! I hope it will be warm enough for kids to swim and I'm excited for the easy walk to Epcot! Thanks to all for the tips here - it's been so helpful already.
I hope the boys get to use SAB. I can tell you from personal experience being at the resort at this exact time of the year that there can be days when shorts and tee-shirts are in order and other times when parkas and knit caps and gloves aren't enough to keep you warm. It's a pain to have to pack for all the different seasons but you never know what to expect in Florida in December.

Thank you all so much for all the help with my questions about the room request! I asked for exactly what was recommended. “Full balcony and close to the volleyball court”.
Now my next question is how those requests work with online check in.
Can I do online check in still? I think I’ve read in the past that you just leave requests blank, is this accurate?
Thanks again!

Yes. Leave the request section blank

Just to clarify, if you chose options during online check-in then any of these options will overwrite what is already noted on your reservation. Also, the "request" options are very limited / almost useless since the last time Disney tried to fix "requests" available for online check-in.

Note: for a limited time they had almost a complete list of requests but the list was not limited to what would be available based on the category you actually booked so that did not last very long and since then they have not shown a willingness to try again.

NEVERMIND! Got it to work by switching to chrome. Neither the app nor safari would work for me.

Thank you! I just tried to do online check in (leaving requests blank) but I just get an error. I’ll have to try later and hope it works. Otherwise we will just be checking in when we arrive.
