Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

For some strange reason I seem to love stories of people who like the BC better than the Poly. ;)

Congrats on your pixie dust upgrade. We got a GV room by the volleyball courtyard with a view of the lagoon to the left. That is a good location. :)
Yeah it's a stunning view. We are looking to the left too! I haven't worked out of we can get to the 'secret' Epcot exit easily yet though!!

Does anyone have an update as to whether CM's for Club Level meet you at the entrance and walk you up to check in? If so, do they still do this if you checked in online?

We will be in Orlando a few days before our trip so we're trying to figure out if we should cab it to YC our first day, drop off our luggage and walk over to Epcot to get on a few rides before check in. Or, like we did last time, meet a CM at the entrance and be escorted to the Club Level where we can eat breakfast, maybe check in, or at least drop our luggage off. Thoughts?

Thanks so much!

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It seems mostly there are CMs in the lobby that will escort you to the Club Level Check In if you ask them. And whether there is a greeter or not is independent of Online Check In.

I would be prepared for either scenario.

Hi Dee (and everyone else)! If you wouldn't mind adding us to the be our guest list for Jen's 4th annual birthday extravaganza 10/22-10/29. This time it is just my husband and myself. Never done an adults only trip before...I am so excited and my non-Disneyphile DH is...tolerant. ;)

Someone asked this over on the BC Deluxe and Suite thread. Does anyone have any info on the 1 Bedroom Suite since the renovation?

I am having trouble finding it on this thread, but does anyone have current images and layout information for the BC club level 1BR suite? Does it really only sleep 3, instead of the 4 that a standard room would accommodate? I'm hoping the images I found were old and incorrect.

That's a great question. I don't know the answer to this since the room renovation- I know the occupancy was only 3 prior to the refurbishment.

The Disney website lists up to 4 guests, but I wouldn't necessarily take this as gospel, because the listing on other room types and descriptions of views is not correct.

I'll post this over on FAQ thread to see if anyone knows.

:goodvibes

While at the Poly Concierge making the changes we got a massive pinch of Pixiedust, we were randomly selected for complimentary tickets to the After Party at MK!! Then when checking in at BC, we somehow got a Garden View looking over the garden at the Volyball Court, with a view of the lake of you look left.

Thats the area we were in for our '14 visit. Loved it! I spent a lot of time on that balcony, "looking left" and enjoying the stunning view!

Hi Dee :flower1:

Thanks for posting the pictures. Are you sure this isn't a studio? I thought the 1 bedroom villa had a full kitchen?

Love those pics, but that is definitely a studio. Hope someone will post what Murphy bed looks like! Thanks so much for posting.

I wondered about that!

The person who provided the pictures didn't say the type of room, but I had 1BR on list. I'll change my description.

:thumbsup2

Very frustrated- approaching my 180 day mark and Disney has park times available for November but that's about it. Nothing about nights that Fantasmic or Main Street Electric Parade will be happening. Hopefully the hours are correct and I can make my ADR's based on those hours and then when make changes after more info is available for November!

Yes, I've been stalking here hoping for pics of the Murphy bed. I want BC for our next trip, but DS says he only will if there's a Murphy bed. LOL

Hi All! I have a question. Every Nov/Dec, I attend a conference for work at the YC/BC Convention Center. For years I have attended this conference and every year I stay at the YC. This year, I'm given the option of staying at either the YC or BC. We like the YC. It's close to the conference center. Usually, YC picks up first at the bus stop. YC is closer to the boat dock. And every room has a balcony. However, I can't help but wonder if I'm "missing out" by having never stayed at BC. Really, other than being a bit closer if walking to Epcot, I can't see any advantage to switching to BC from YC, except maybe to say I've marked one more resort off of my list. What are your thoughts? Stay at YC? Or try BC

I'd try the beach club they have the marketplace there and you're guaranteed a renovated room. We love both but if had to choose would go BC

Hello everyone! I have a question...

I've never stayed at the Yacht Club before, this September will be my first time staying there (and first time for my little boy - he'll be 9 months when we are there!!) and I'm not sure what requests to put on the reservation.

We're currently booked in a Lagoon/Pool view room. I know for sure I want to request a lagoon view, and I'd LOVE if we could possibly see some of the fireworks from IllumiNations.

Does anyone have any tips for what requests I should make besides lagoon view and not pool view? Floor, location in the building, etc.? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks a bunch!!

It seems as if you like the things that make YC a better place to stay than BC - the bus stops at YC first, all the rooms have balconies, and it is close to the convention center. :)

I'm the opposite and my conference stays have always been BC and I've wanted to try YC! :) It's an easy walk to the conference center but it would be nicer IMO to be right there. Sorry I can't give a good comparison but it does seem like you like a lot of things about YC that might not or would not happen at BC. Still, until you try it you'll never know so given you have the option it seems like a good time to try it out.
