We are here at the Yacht Club and today has been cold - in the 50's, and rainy. We managed to do a lot at MK before the rains started around 11am. We have had a lot of rain free trips lately, so I guess we were due for a wet day.

Wonder if we ran into each other without realizing! We were at MK for early rope drop and stayed until about 12. it was fun and we were able to walk onto every ride!

Sold photos of the BC! We’ll be here until Friday so I’ll try and take some more before we leave. P.S. that beautiful bird let us get SO close to him (people have probably fed him ) and I must say he’s photogenic.

The freestyle machines were replaced with regular dispenser type machines in 2020. There are two units in the Marketplace with approximately 12 selections each [same selections for both units]. Water, soda water and ice are available as well.

We were at Hollywood Studios around the same time on Monday night. We had a ILL$ for RotR and got there about 6:30pm.

We stayed until park close! And it was a BLAST! Hope you had fun. We’re heading back to HS in an hour or so RotR was amazing

Anyone have info on the soda machines at beach club? Are they still the freestyle type?

I haven’t noticed any freestyle soda machines at the BC marketplace sadly. There are freestyle ones just across the way at the YC!

We came back to our room in the Yacht Club to find out that they had installed a new TV system. It lists our last name and room number on the welcome screen. The Friendship boat moves across the screen and lights turn on and off in the rooms in the picture. It also will connect your device to the internet. I will get a picture of that screen later but here are a couple screens to start with. Internet is slow right now because they are working on our floor right now.










I will get more info about this new system later.

The Friendship boat moves across the screen and lights turn on and off in the rooms in the picture. It also will connect your device to the internet. I will get a picture of that screen later but here are a couple screens to start with. Internet is slow right now because they are working on our floor right now.

Nice! That's the same smart TV that's been installed at Gran Destino and Riviera for a few years now. Glad to see they're finally getting to other resorts! So handy to be able to cast to your TV without needing to bring a Roku or something.

The TV screen is the same but the cable box is new. We even have a new remote control.

@Wood Nymph, is there a channel with the “normal” WDW scroll with the music? The one that’s normally the channel that comes on when you turn on the TV? That’s been one minor complaint about the new TVs at other places.

The button at the bottom right that says Parks and more will list the park hours and information. But it doesn’t gather all the information in one place like the scroll did.

Oh no!!!

We had that at Gran Destino. While it was fun at first, we really missed the resort channel that played THE MUSIC!
Unless this is different, that is now gone. The music we had was Gran Destino/CSR music.

I wouldn't mind it so much if the home screen played the parks and Disney music...I missed that at Gran Destino.

To be clear, this doesn't really bother me , I just prefer to the old resort channel.

We were at Animal Kingdom today and the bus back to the resort made three stops, YC, BC and BWI - in that order. That’s the first time I have seen the AK bus sharing with BWI.

We experienced this in late January but the signage did not show that all three were sharing.

Just wondering, with the YC/.BC be having a Super Bowl watch party on Sunday? That could be a really fun event to go to if you are in to that sort of thing. Of course I have to end this post with a big WHO DEY!!
