That picture is way cute! Thanks for sharing!Thought you all might enjoy seeing this photo from when my WDW obsession started in 1974. (I am on the left)
Thank you so much for posting the pictures! Your daughter is adorable! I'm so happy you were sprinkled with Pixie Dust. Here are some pictures from our recent BC stay - we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite - 3501 - and had an amazing stay!
I know you have been posting and I think I welcomed you back, but I don't have you on the BOG list, so I will add you for Sept.Ahhh nice picture! I sure do remember wearing those smock tops!!!
back and I would also like to add my thanks. I can only imagine how difficult it is for your family for your DH to be away.Hello! Been a while since I have checked in here. Lots going on in life.
Since we stayed at BCV in January and it was so cold and rainy and the slide was down for yearly repairs and didn't get to enjoy Stormalong Bay, I have us booked in a Lagoon/Pool view at YC from 09/13 - 09/16 before we head over to WL.
This was a surprise for DH who really really really wants to go down the slide.
And since he has been in Afghanistan since March and returns home on Aug 15 I thought he deserved that fun
Just put a deposit down to rent BC villa for DD 3's first trip to Disney. So excited. We have only stayed at Swan as a couple and I stayed at POR as a kid. I have always eyed the BC pool. Tell me what we must do at this resort with our DD especially since out of our six days only two will be at the parks!
Can't remember if you have posted here before, so to this thread.I could definitely handle touring like that. I would love skipping gates. Thanks for sharing!
Have a fantastic trip!I arrive at BCV on Monday for a very short (less than 24 hours) stay before switching hotels to volunteer for Geekycon. if anyone has any requests for pictures or information, let me know. I know someone wanted a picture of BCV lobby and someone wanted a picture of BCV studio fridge. Any other requests in the YC/BC/BCV area?
This is a resort only trip. I will just be hanging out, relaxing, so I should have time to check things out if asked.
back!Okay you've already gotten good responses to this (Yup the first week of November.) but I wanted to add a few more options to entice you...
My Mom & I are coming in on Oct 31st (1 night at BW) so that we can do the S&D's Food & Wine Classic on Sat, MNSSHP on Sunday, a week of F&W (staying at BCV), then off-property for a couple more days to hit the other things in Orlando (What? There are other things in Orlando!?!?!?! ), and doing MVMCP before flying home.
Also during that 1st full weekend of Nov are the F&W marathons. So timed right you could do 5 different events over 10+ days.
One thing to note is that even though the parties start on the 8th the resort decorations usually don't fully go up till after Veterans Day (Nov 11th). For example the Contemporary's Frozen gingerbread display was Nov 13th, GF the 23rd, & BC the 25th.
(BTW I'm not new to this board, just haven't been around for a couple years since my last BC stay in 2012.)
Is there anything I should request or think about while requesting for a standard room at BC? I read somewhere that not all the rooms have queen beds which would be disasterous! Do they all have the daybed too?
I think I want to be closer to EPCOT too. View - or do all standards come with the standard parking lot view? Higher floor or lower floor for less walking?
Hi all, I have been reading this thread as much at I can, and I am super excited for my first visit to the Yacht Club in September. The budget only allows for one night, but I am looking forward to relaxing at the pool and enjoying some yummy drinks! Thank you for this wonderful thread full of info!!
Thanks to everyone for all the great info here! First stay at BC 8/27-9/2, usually we are at CBR 2 times a year but got a great rate for BC through TA, standard room.
I'd have been tempted to ask if a bris was going on with the towel animals next door. When I took the pic aside from amusing my FB friends, I was tempted to ask someone there what it was, thinking they had a list of approved animals and I possibly had an unartistic mouse keeper who was trying to make a Mickey and got that instead. Knowing it is all up to the person I am glad I didn't as I might have gotten her in trouble w/o meaning to.
That "towel animal" should be exclusively for guests celebrating their honeymoon at the resort!!
You guys are so funny!! I guess my question is "are you sure that the mousekeepers left this towel?" Or could it have been someone in the room playing a joke...a pretty funny and creative joke..LOLThat "towel animal" should be exclusively for guests celebrating their honeymoon at the resort!!
I was traveling solo. Unless another guest got in while mouse keeping had the door propped it had to be them. Maybe she was annoyed that day's tip was smaller, but the previous one had only been bigger because I flooded the bathroom. I cleaned it up but used every towel I had. Previous guest had apparently been washing an elephant in the shower the setting was so hard. You guys are so funny!! I guess my question is "are you sure that the mousekeepers left this towel?" Never mind. I'm having trouble uploading the pic; it says it's too large. How do I make it smaller? These photos are on my phone if it makes a difference. I've never posted pics before. Here is our room view from our recent stay at the BC. We booked a standard view room but were upgraded to a garden view room. We loved the room and location. Our room number was 4614.
I'm so glad you took pictures, we were too busy trying everything to remember to take some! We really liked the seafood salad, the smoked salmon and to give Chef Chris extra credit, I liked the sweet potato salad and I never really like sweet potatoes! We thought everything was really fresh and light. Will really miss it when we stay in December-no club that trip...sigh.
We have the opposite trip planned, although we're not staying CL at the BC (only SV available on the magical deal). Where were you located at the WL? We have a deluxe room booked and I admit I'm a bit leery about the potential for construction. I know most of it hasn't started, but there are folks who've reported hearing hammering at the resort and the WL CMs are denying that anything is taking place. We requested a courtyard view room. Hoping that keeps us away from whatever might be going on by the villa side of things. We got home late last night. I think I'm suffering from post Disney-partum depression! We had a really great vacation. It was nice to meet both Teena and Cath072. They both inspired me to go to the local Disney store and apply for a job and hope for some benefits to feed my addiction...
Dee-our room # was 5667. It was a water view that looked out the back entrance. I will try to figure out how to post the pictures I took, but I did them from my tablet and it acted wonky a few times so we'll see if I can get it to work.
We ended our vacation with a few days at the WL. It was ok. We had a deluxe room that was a great size, but didn't like the location and it had some issues (air conditioning unit sounded like a plane taking off and it ran constantly, refrig stopped working the first night, bathroom fan kicked on if you walked by the door, etc.) It made us really miss BC. Club CMs were no where near as friendly and helpful except for one (may have just hit the wrong group). So for us, BC CL is still the place to be!
