Hi, I was wondering if anyone's children were into Disney's VMK and are going to be in the MK before the end of the year? My daughter won an VMK Tour through the MK for 4 and has to be done before the end of the year. Also, they MUST be players. It's a really cool tour, you get to hear a lot of trivia questions, the kids win their cards (stacks of them!) and you get to go on three attractions (front of line) and do trivia hunts and fun stuff.

I will email the code to someone and you can print it out. I will however, need to make sure that you are a player and that you will definitely be able to do the tour (it's held at 4 PM each day).

So PM me if you're interested!

Not sure if these are the same tours, however, we also had a "Hidden Mickey Quest" certificate for a free VMK tour through MK and were told when we checked in at VMK Central at the Main Street Cinema that they are no longer doing the tours. Instead, they gave out a card with a code.

PS...this was during the first week of December.

They were incorrect! At first I asked about it and the CM said, oh we don't do those anymore and I said, well it says it's good until the 31st of December and he said "oh you already won it" when I told him yes, he said, oh just go to City Hall and book it (both my kids won them and my dh didn't want to go so we only used one certificate). When we went to check in the girl said something about giving us the cards if we didn't want to do the tour and I said "NO, they want to do the tour!" They claim it's VERY popular, but the CM's that work there are HORRIBLE, they're rude and not very informative (not the girl who did the tour, she was very nice after I asked her if they don't like doing it because people were "snappy" and she said something like she usually doesn't do it, but she would be happy to do it and she did and was great!). The girl behind the counter was just nasty, but the other cm's just looked like they didn't know what was going on.

It's too bad you didn't press because it really was a fun tour, the kids had a blast. I wouldn't hesitate to call and see if they can't compensate your kids in some way with maybe extra cards or something.

Wow...strange news! We didn't even think to question the CM as I had also read that they had earlier decided to change the tours from 4 to 2 people...we just assumed they further changed the program!

This makes two bits of odd info we received this trip...we had also planned to attend a DVC Member Mixer but were told it was canceled due to rain so we didn't go. We understood the need to cancel (the event was outdoors) however, when we got home, we read that people who stopped by the Mixer location received refreshments, interaction with character elves, and an ornament. We would have loved the opportunity to meet everyone. Emails with DVC ended with them saying we are not eligible for the ornament...only mixer attendees are eligible. Oh, well...we otherwise had a great time!

Wow what a shame. I kept telling my dh that the CM's are just not informed enough. Not every CM knows exactly what is going on in their department and that makes for too much confusion. When I mentioned the tour to the first CM, he was under the impression that I was looking to win it, but when I questioned his answer he then understood. However, in your favor, I was told that that they are now doing tours combined with Ak (starting next year, your kids probably know about this) I would contact Guest Services and insist on being given an opportunity to attend one (they say it will include the new Expedition attraction in AK). It really wouldn't hurt to try and be insistant, afterall your child won a great prize and didn't receive due to an uninformed CM and that's not your fault.
