Disneys Visa deal !

Hello......I know this is going to sound like complaining....and it probably is...... but just got off the phone with reservations, they hardly had anything left for discounts using the Disney Visa...No CSR....king bed only at CBR (family of 3)....no value resorts....I did take POR for 89.00$ for 9 nights which is a deal.....unfortunately this is my wife's least favorite resort........I know I sound like a spoiled child but we are going with some friends and we really wanted to stay at CSR.....all they had was water view at rack rates .....I don't know... we have been going to Disney for the last ten years and since I found these boards I have not paid full price for a room that you actually spend so little time in.I know some people do not get the discounts and I really feel sorry for those that do not.... but does anyone else feel that the discounted or code prices are the prices that should be year round....anyway I sound like a spoiled baby.....Thanks for letting me vent.....Bob

I know how you feel. I have never paid full price for a Disney resort and we just planned a last minute trip for March-NO CODES! I did get AAA for the AKL but I am paying a ridiculous rate. We are only staying one night so I can justify it, but there is no way I could swing it for a week. Maybe something will open up for you. Keep trying. I also make my self feel better by remembering rates I pay on other trips around the country. During ski season in New England you can pay up to 200.00 for notel motel.

Maybe we could split the stay and just suck it up but when your spending 3000$ on vacation you hate to settle for your second or third choice......Bob

Bob, vent away -- it's not "wrong" to be disappointed! I personally LOVE Riverside, but if you had your heart on Coronado or Carribean Beach, OF COURSE you are disappointed.

Three suggestions: 1:Keep calling back. Cancellations happen. 2: Meanwhile, maybe French Quarter would be nice? It's about to reopen and everything will be brand new. 3: Consider purchasing one annual pass and wait for those rates -- they should be out any day now and will likely rival or beat the Disney Visa deal. But check these Boards every day -- you are living proof that discounted rooms go FAST!

.......I will keep trying.....I know POR is a nice resort and people have different taste and if anyone is still listening...do you have to have a annual pass at the time of booking if so or if not where can I purchase one.... Thanks Bob

I had the same trouble last month with the discount codes for April Only King Size beds available at all of the Moderates. I called the following Monday and They had all kinds of standard rooms available and it hadn't quite been a week. I booked a King bed because it was just me and my Mom but when the standard came available
i quickly cancled and was able to get my first hotel choice. I was also at POR i would rater stay at POFQ or CSR. Good Luck
