Disney's Vero Beach Resort Pool Towels

SO WHO HAS NOT BEEN RETURNING THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disney's Vero Beach Resort has upgraded its pool towels with larger, plusher versions stocked in Vacation Homes. Each Vacation Home is equipped with the appropriate number of pool towels based on that Vacation Home's occupancy. Pool towels will not be available at poolside or the beach, except on a one-for-one exchange basis. Members and Guests may also exchange used pool towels for clean replacements by contacting Housekeeping for delivery to their Vacation Home, or during regularly scheduled housekeeping services.

the reason they did this is that many folks were going to the pool early in the day, taking a bunch of towels and throwing them on chairs to reserve them. They would then not come back. My last trip to VB one person told me they were reserving their chairs in case they got tired of sitting on the beach.

Hopefully this change has made it easier to get chairs at the pool later in the day.

Hopefully so. I also hope the CMs watch the chairs, lounges, and tables that have the room towels on them for more than an hour (without occupants) and collect them as "abandoned".

Actually, my pet peeve is this problem at HHI. There are only seven tables with umbrellas and I have often seen kids come down at 7 am to put personal items (beach towels etc.) on tables and then not show up until 11 am. No joke... I have witnessed it multiple times. I say, one hour unused = abandoned.

We are at HHI now (first time) and I noticed that they had a set number of towels in the with a note that you would be charged fee for any missing towels. I thought that it was interesting since it was a different approach than I was used to, i.e. DL and WDW.

I was glad to see the towles in our room since I like to wrap a towel around me when I leave the pool and at DL adn WDW the towels are to stay at the pool area.
