Disney's reservation line down 10/12 - 10/13

Called WDW-DINE today while at POFQ to change our dinner reservations for tonight. Before directing my call, the intro message has added that the reservation system will be down beginning at 4 p.m on 10/12 and will be back up by "late afternoon" the next day. This will also effect child care reservations as well.

I wonder how this will affect cancellation fees if someone tries to cancel between 4 and midnight.

And more dire - what about those 180 day folks? I fear riots on the boards the morning of the 13th.

I got the same message when I was looking at rooms and packages this morning. Except the pledge is that the system will be accessible again on 10/14. Anyone know what sorts of changes or enhancements are taking place?
