We just called our guide today and were told the price per point if we buy through Disney is $115. The current promotion was a $500 gift card.
Our question is: Do Disney guides bargain on the price at all? They claim they don't, but we were just curious if anyone else has had any luck.
Thanks!

No, the incentives are what they are. They will not bargain with price.

As SandisW said, no chance. Now they may at times try to make it sound like they are throwing some bonus incentive (not reduced price), but really even those are all fixed as well... as far as I know. Great place to check ongoing prices for points is at DVCNews.com

for bay lake we were quoted 115 Total for 100 points was 11500. We could get our use year and also be able to have 100 pts from 2010 which is hard to get with resales. you also can pay with a credit card via disney and get points or miles that you can not get via a resale as most must be paid for in cash. Good luck deciding. I am having a hard time getting more points at the 11500 after the deal we got on our first 100 bay lake points which was 97 a point due to the black friday special.... we should have purchased more then.
