Resort Thread Disney's PORT ORLEANS FRENCH QUARTER Resort

Back from a GREAT week at POFQ. Booked a garden view room and faxed in my request for Bldg 5, 3rd floor corner room about 9 days prior to leaving. We got off to a late start, because of my work AGAIN:mad:, and did not arrive until 3AM. Luckly the excitement of going makes the late 7 hour drive easy to stay wide awake. We checked in and was assigned room 5341, low and behold Bldg 5, 3rd floor, corner room:cool1: We really like the look of the new lobby. Room was clean, had a new fridge and the new bedding was to white for us, I think just a little color is needed in the spread. Fridge temp control is in back, on top, on the hinge side. We turned it almost all the way up and the waters close to the back on top shelf got a little icey, which is how we like them. We noticed now that they have the life vests on a rack by the pool, the last time we were there we had to sign it out from the store. Beinets were very good the 2 times we had them, last time they were only so-so. POFQ FC food was good but our family still likes POR FC better. Shared buses about 1/3 of the time, not a big deal for us, no long waits. We got in a movie and marshmellow roasting, boat to POR and DTD. On halloween, they had extra kid activities and trick-or-treat candy stations set up. The best part was when Mickey and Goofey came by for photos dressed up as jesters:joker: our DD's loved itpixiedust: Magic Bands had some issues, not registering all the time, good thing I had my phone with My Experience app on it to show them. I have to say that I am a big fan of FP+, we usually arrive later to the parks and a lot of times there are no FP's left for the big rides, no issue for us with FP+. Weather was great, resort was great, park crowds were great.... I think you get the picture.... It was GREAT:rotfl:

It doesn't look as bad as I had feared; once they get the runners on the end of the bed I think it'll look even better.

I agree - I'm glad they kept the accent pillows, and I think the bed runners will finish it off nicely.

Does anyone know if POFQ gives a free sLider for MB at check in
:rotfl: did you just use Free and Disney in the same sentence? :duck:

Send pictures of the beds---- I'm pretty sure we haven't seen a picture yet. (I could be wrong)

Yes, you get a free half-inch loop of plastic/rubber with a $200/night payment to Disney... :)

Andre

At our daughter's college orientation, they handed a box of popcorn and said, "That'll be $40,000."

Can I still get free hot water from the food court drinking station? I'd like to bring my own tea and mug for the few meals we'll have there, but I'm not sure how it works with the new RFID mugs & cups. Will I need to buy a cup? TIA.

Only the soda dispensers have the RFID technology.
