I swear they don’t even look at requests. We just got back (2 different resorts) but neither of them had our bed rails in the room as requested. We were flying in late and wanted to get the 2 yo down as soon as we hit the resort (midnight) they did bring them right down but still……
Had an aunt that retired after many years as a housekeeper at disney and by policy, bedrails will never be in your room waiting for you. When you request them, they do make sure a set will be available for you when you arrive. But they won't have them in the room until you arrive and request them to be brought to you.
Interesting. I just wish they would have told me that when I called. I mean it all worked out and they were really prompt about bringing them, it was just late and we were tired/stressed
Another reason is because there is always the possibility the original room assigned could be changed for whatever reason and housekeeping would not know it is now a different guest in the room. Then they don't have to try and figure out where something was left, especially if a different guest was checked into the room originally assigned to you.
