Does the store sell larger (not single serving) containers of cream cheese? Anything else worthwhile? We prefer to fly carry-on only, so no gels or liquids over 3oz.) but I'd like to have some easy/cheap breakfast options so we save our meal credits and time.

Booked POP Aug 30 - Sep 13th. Saves $1,500 over regular price. 60 days until dining reservations!
Not that I'm aware of, just snack style foods and portions.

You may want to ask on the board for the campsites. Is there a little store there? They may sell stuff like that.

I think it is on here somewhere but too many pages to find lol. We are staying mid June 5 nights. standard pool view room. i think i saw at one time recommendation to be highest level, on the 50's or 60's buildings?

I was able to get the free dining promo yesterday and we will be staying at POP for the first time June 29-July 3rd! I am excited to try it out. I previously stayed at three of the mods. Each of those times, I started with a reservation at a value and then when the discounts were announced switched to a mod. I think we will like the look and vibe at Pop.

Not the best time to tell you back when the Dining Plan Free promotion started, you could stack discounts and I paid less than $70/night, huh?
Wish this was still the case today!

We just booked Pop for free dining August 29 through September 4th! I’m so excited

Congrats! I'm going Aug. 9-Sept. 5th. I just tried to do a mock booking for my dates and your dates and they are no longer showing availability on the Disney website. I'm sure that will change, but way to go and get it done under the wire!

Standard Pool view rooms are available in the 50's, 80's and 90's sections. Please see green lines on the map below.

I did my Online Check-in for my Feb 2-7 trip. I have a Standard room and put in my requests to be in either 70s (first choice) or 50s (second choice). I also did NOT check the box to say room ready was more important than requests. I'd rather increase my odds of getting the location I want even if it means waiting for a room.

That said - anyone want to speculate on the odds of my room being ready by/around 2 pm even though I didn't ask for an early room? I'm using DME so they know my flight arrival time.

There is no way to really know. It will purely depend on how many people are checking out that day and how quickly they can prepare the rooms. Since you are checking in on a Sunday (one of the busiest arrival/departure days) they will have more rooms to flip.

That being said, nothing is stopping you from going to the desk when you arrive and asking if there is a room available. You are always welcome to ask, including if the room you are assigned is not in a location you'd prefer to be in. There's no guarantee they can move you but they will try their very best.

Last summer friends arrived early in the morning and there room was not ready until after 6pm. We arrived 2 weeks later and our room was ready by 1pm. Both times Pop was aware of our arrival times but that doesn't seem to play a big part into when a room is ready for occupancy.

We just stayed at Pop Century over Christmas break. I requested check in at 1pm
and it was honored. My connecting room was ready about 1/2hr later. I also requested the 50’s section and got that too. I requested 50’s section top floor.

Dec 16 we arrived around 8 am and I stopped by the desk. I had checked in online asking for 70s and lakeview. I didn't ask if the room was ready but also made 2 more requests, top floor and no connecting door. I told them we were going to Epcot via the skyliner and wouldn't be back until evening so no rush. We got a text at 1 saying the room was ready. It was exactly what I had requested!

You can request any room specification, but there is never a guarantee they will honor that request.

is there a map out there that specifies which rooms are connecting? I want to avoid those.

we usually request non connecting rooms but sometimes have a connecting one anyway. I roll a bath towel and put it along the bottom of the door and it really does help to keep the sound down.Touring plans has some info on connecting rooms in their room finder but it isn’t necessarily accurate.

I’m not sure of any specific map(s) that will tell you that at an easy glance but you might find Touring Plans room finder for POP Century (just google that) useful? I believe you can still use it for free, but just re-upped my subscription so I’m not positive about that.

You can click on any building and choose any room and it will give you a photo of what the view from that room (should) looks like. Will also give you info like room number, floor, connecting rooms, type (King, Queen, preferred, standard, etc.) walking distance to transportation and lobby, etc. It does not appear to have information about distances to the Skyliner that I can see.

I used it for our last trip in 2017 and found it to be useful, but don’t know how accurate all the information is since the refurbishments. Maybe others would have a better idea about that?

yup we have a tp subscription and are using the room request service they offer. The room we're requesting isn't a connecting room, but I just was wondering which were the connecting rooms in case we were not given our request. It's not a bg deal; I'm more curious than anything.

I've always used this diagram. The little squares with the diagonal lines show the connecting doors. We've had connecting rooms (requested) on 3 trips and they were always in the areas listed on this map. I don't know if anything has changed since the refurbishment, but I don't think it has.
