Resort Thread Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT

Hi all.
Recently cancelled a one-night stay at the Poly! (I chickened out on the $ this time...but still hope to stay there in the future.) I've become QUITE attached to the idea of watching MK fireworks from there, though. I'll be solo for a couple nights (at CSR) and park-less one of those...question is, if I'm not staying at the resort, would I be allowed to watch the fireworks from there?

Yes, you’ll be fine - there are no restrictions for accessing the resort for non-guests. The only restriction is self-parking at the resort if you don’t have a dining reservation.

Have fun - can’t beat watching fireworks from Poly, IMHO!

Maintenance Work to Impact Select Areas of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Starting March 7

Beginning Monday, March 7, a water pipe replacement to install permanent water lines will take place at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. As a result, alternate travel paths with designated signage will be available for Guests around the Hawaii building. This work is currently expected to be completed by mid-April 2022.

Beginning in mid-April, maintenance work will also take place on the beach. While Guests will be able to access the beach during that time, certain areas will be unavailable and will result in alternate travel paths. This project is expected to be complete by late May 2022.

**Also wanted to note, Poly will go back to its original Housekeeping/room cleaning schedule (pre-Covid) beginning Today.

Oh no, thrilled about housekeeping returning but oh no about the beach maintenance work! I chose the Poly in part due to beach access. i wonder what this work will entail and how much this will impact being able to view the fireworks??

if anyone there now can confirm the return of pre-Covid housekeeping, that would be much appreciated!

After the remodel - do the new bathrooms have some sort of night light in them? Or should I bring one? Thanks!

I have seen conflicting pictures of the in-room coffee makers. Is it a Keurig or traditional coffee maker with pot? We will be staying in DVC room.

Good morning! Does anyone know if you can request a Keurig coffee machine in a studio?I’m the only one that drinks coffee and I hate the waste when I use the traditional drip thank you

Can you still do the patio rentals for half days or is it just full days now?

Unless recently changed and no one has reported yet, it’s still full days only now (which has been in place since the COVID reopening). Granted a lot of things have eventually returned to the way they were before, but I’ve speculated this is one that might be permanent. TBD though!

Not going to lie, super excited to have pre-covid housekeeping! Especially with a 5.5 year old and a 20 month old.
Same!! As you may have seen from other housekeeping posts I've made, lol. Coming back to a clean and calm room after a long hot day with two...spirited young boys is part of what really helps make it a vacation for me and I'm so glad housekeeping is back in time for my April trip (knock on wood!) Especially since we are paying out the wazoo for this trip!
