We're returning to Poly in February for the Princess Half Marathon as part of a split stay with WL! So excited that a visa discount became available for a villa studio!!! We booked a standard view villa and love the idea that we have a guaranteed patio or balcony, but do not love the possibility of a parking lot view. We've been spoiled by rooms in either Samoa or (when booking CL) Hawaii. Our views have been good to fabulous, but never bad at Poly. For views, is Moorea our best option for a request?

.

We are here right now. Pool hours are 9:00am to 10:00 pm.

I was in the same boat and opted to not bring mine from home. The dryer in our room is great. Works better and dries my hair faster than my own.

Yes, there's a dryer and there's also a nice double sided light-up magnifying mirror!

Sweet! Do you think it's the kind that would be good for round-brushing etc? Sorry, I usually bring my hair dryer everywhere, but that's a few pounds I'd love to save in the luggage. :-) Sorry if it's so specific.

We just rented points through David's and are staying in a standard studio 2/27/16 to 3/5/16. Hubby and I have made multiple trips over our ten year marriage but this will be the first with our daughter. She will be 15 months old on our trip. Excited is an understatement!

How exciting! Enjoy the planning and anticipation :goodvibes.

:thanks: :)... I thought it was odd that they had all the longhouses available....

Hope your requests are met and you have a great trip :wizard:.

Staying at Poly in 9 days in a dvc studio.

Have a great time :yay:.

Is there a way to request with out having to check in online? We don't want to check in until we get there because we need to ensure one person's magic band is linked to their credit card and the other two are linked to a different card and that isn't something you can do online as of now.

You can check in online now & have them sort out the MB issues when you arrive.

We prefer not to just because last time we checked in online with a similar situation the wrong credit cards were linked the entire week. It kept defaulting to what we put in for online check in. It also won't let us remove a credit card from online check in since there was already one on file.

Call the regular reservation number and tell the CM you have some requests you want added to your reservation :).

Sorry I didn't use the dryer.

Almost missed our 180 days on Monday, but at 6:05 am I logged in and book all 16 ressies...Now, I have to choose which ones I don't want. I got Be Our Guest! That was the one I was most nervous about. We loved dinner, not big fans for lunch....would love to try breakfast one morning.

Any suggestions on a room request? We are staying in a standard view studio and my inlaws are in a lake view.

Breakfast was ok. Loved being in the park early, being able to ride 7DMT before the rope drop crowd. If you're not a really big eater, I'd recommend the scrambled eggs and bacon kid's meal. I was fine with that, along with my danish. Yes, a small serving, but still 11.99 as opposed to the regular 19.99 meals which didn't impress DH or DS. DH had the open faced bacon and egg sandwich. The bread was rock hard! (It looked delicious though) And DS had the waffles (because of an allergy) and he only got 2 small waffles, Lego sized! He was 15, so that didn't go well. But then again, we thought it was worth it, but only for the early park experience. I'd do it again. But we'll all get the kids meals next time and not leave one danish on the plate! Lol

Thanks for all of your tips, reviews and suggestions! My family leaves Friday for our first stay at Poly - very excited and hoping for happy memories! Will try to post a review when we return!

Are they still piping the Wishes music onto the beach? At least in front of Hawaii?

Hi,

We just returned from a fabulous stay at the Poly. Club level, park view. We had a third-floor room in Hawaii with unobstructed views.

The Wishes music was not piped in on the beach. A cast member was kind of vague about why not, when I asked him. It was piped in to the club lounge.

One night we did watch fireworks from the beach. Even without the audio, it was fabulous. There were a number of families out. My girls ran o the beach with glow sticks with a bunch of other kids before the show started. Fun!

I haven't been on the DIS for ages, but been reading this thread for the past two days!
Your excitement got me wanting to book for the fourth of July and so I did!
NEVER have been during that time, has anyone been lucky to experience the fourth at the Poly?

What can we expect? Thanks :sunny:

Interesting. I changed the credit card I had online without an issue. Sometimes the Disney website is just "funky."

I managed to get a BOG lunch...and yes it's not that special but the atmosphere is so nice....I just had to do it!
