Do they sell small containers of laundry detergent in the laundry facilities ?

We plan on washing 1-2 loads on rest day. With the four of us for 10 nights it's just too much clothes to go unwashed.

We stay 2 weeks, so I pack detergent pods in a zip lock bag. I used to pack the Purex detergent sheets cause they were so easy to take but I believe they're discontinued. I also bring Colour Sheets! They work. I washed a red shirt with white jeans.

Thanks ninafeliz and dansdad. Nice to know they aren't going to gauge me for sticks. I can throw in chocolate and graham crackers.

Hi all! Thinking of a May trip back to the Poly, our family's love, but all the changes/drama has got us down.. It looks good to me so I think we will try again this May!

We still have most of our box of Purex sheets from 2 years ago

Packing soon. 1 week to go

Thanks! Only 10 days away from our first trip to the Poly! Let the Magic begin. :woohoo:

Have a fantastic time!! :dance3:

does anyone have any information about the lounge offerings on the club level I have been reading some really bad reviews and I am getting nervous for my upcoming October trip
TIA
Nicole

We just returned from staying club level - the offerings are still what most people have been reporting. Breakfast is cold cereals and oatmeal (with toppings), yogurt (vanilla and strawberry) with toppings, bagels, croissants, muffins, cinnamon rolls, fruit. I think that was it. We were never there for the afternoon snacks, but from past trips I remember things like goldfish, gummy bears, choc chip cookies. Evening apps were always: carrots, celery and cucumbers with dip, mini pita pockets and hummus, pineapple with caramel sauce, three different types of cheeses and crackers (there was always different fruits on the cheese trays as well). Each night there were two hot appetizers - items included pierogies with Korean bbq sauce, conch fritters, chicken legs with a teriyaki sauce, crab rangoons, sushi, beef and blue wrapped in bacon. I do remember them having an additional cold salad each night in the past that wasn't there this year. Otherwise, it was pretty much the same as it's been for us in the past.

FYI - they do have some things "in the back" that you have to ask for. My kids were able to get chocolate milk, apple juice and uncrustable pb&j (some nights these were out, other nights they needed to request them). The staff was extremely nice and accomodating, so I wouldn't hesitate to ask for something if you don't see it out.

Let me know if you have any specific questions - I'm not sure I covered everything!

Hi,

A LOT of questions!
1. Are they updating guests at check-in on the monorail hours? I don't want to waste time walking to the monorail only to realize I have to take a boat or a bus.
2. This is our first time flying (we usually drive the 6.75 - 7 hours). Our flight is at 7:30 pm. If we go to DHS, will Poly hold our checked bags *AND* carry-ons? If we decide to go for a swim after DHS, is there somewhere to change?
3. Do I need an ADR to have breakfast at Kona, or can I just walk up? (we are staying late every night and unsure if we will really make it to an 8 am ADR).
4. For those of you that recently made FP+ - did you stay up until midnight? I have to get up at 5 am on my FP+ day and would prefer to go to sleep at a reasonable time and do my FP+ when I get up.

1. they did not update me at check-in, I had to ask. They did have a card with the monorail hours on it - looked like these were printed up weekly.
2. I believe they will hold all of your bags. There are bathrooms by the pool area where you can change. I've never actually done this, so someone else can probably help you better here!
3. We had an ADR, not sure how booked up they get. This was a really good breakfast! DH and DS got omelets, I got the Tonga Toast and my younger boys got pancakes. Everything was delicious!
4. I didn't find that to be necessary. In fact, we were still changes FPs around the day before (and sometimes the day of) our park days. The only ones we couldn't change the day before were Toy Story and Mine Train. I don't think you'll have any trouble!

And they are selling them on Amazon, but are very expensive. Wow. $35 for 22 sheets
Very expensive!! I had mine for quite a few years, used them just for travel. Used last sheets a year ago!! So good thing the pods are easy to pack!

I will be requesting 3rd floor of Samoa overlooking the Lava pool through touring plans.com I am not that concerned if we get a less than desirable view or location but am keeping my fingers crossed

Also need to come up with a way to safely pack the Nautilus I intend to get at Trader Sam's

I plan on getting the MaiTai mug :-) and packing it in my carry on. I don't trust anything breakable in my checked luggage. Last time a wheel broke off luggage. They're not too gentle with luggage!!

I believe they give you a fresh, boxed cup when you leave the restaurant.

Friday night I should be at Trader Sam's! Our night at the Poly is our last night and I refuse to wish away this trip of a lifetime but I'm counting down to some Poly time!

Have a great time! :cheer2:

This was our experience at WL CL. The CL CMs were amazing and told our boys if they wanted something that wasn't out to just ask and someone would get it for them. Good to see that kind of service at other CLs :wizard:.

Great request, we love Samoa!! Hope you get exactly what you want pixiedust:.

Question....

I understand the Poly doesn't have a gym but thought I read somewhere before that Poly guests can use the gym over at....was it GF?

Yeah. You get a new one in the box. I'm trying to figure out how to best pack that box in our luggage or if I should squeeze it into my carry on. Or ship it

Just did this back in June. FYI, the Nautilus box does keep it very well protected but is also BIG. Way too big to just jam in an already packed suitecase. I would definitly leave plenty of room for it and any other stuff you buy before you leave home. We had to take it out of the box and pack it in the middle of all of our clothes, no way we could have made the box fit. FWIW, it was in our checked bag and no harm done, although risky for sure. If I had to do it over again I would ship it.
