Disney's Magical Express - Flying in the night before

We have reservations at POR beginning on 12/24/15, but we are flying into MCO the night before, and staying at the Hyatt inside the airport.

My questions is, how do we arrange for DME the next morning? I've read a few things on the internet, some saying to give DME a fictitious flight number and information for a flight arriving into MCO early the next morning. Others say we can just show up at the DME desk in Terminal B the next morning, and they will get us on a bus.

Has anyone done what we are doing and , if so, can you please share your experience? Does anyone know what the proper method is?

Thanks so much!!

You just call DME directly and make a reservation for the day you need it. You don't need flight information.

I just put down the one the the early Delta flights into MCO on the morning after our arrival as my arrival flight.

Magical Express hot line number: toll free 866-599-0951

Pick a flight, any flight, any airline, arriving at about the time you expect to be back at the airport to take Magical Express to your resort on check in day. The reservationist may or may not ask for this.

Disney's contract with Orlando International Airport requires DME guests to have reservations.

Will I be required to complete arrival flight info? If so, what do I put if we are flying in the night before but don't need transportation until the following morning?

The advice to use the online DME reservation system is fine if you're flying in on the day of your resort check-in, as most DME users do. If you're doing anything less common, it's best to call a human being at Disney's Magical Express Guest Services at (866) 599-0951.

There is no reason to provide fake flight information. Tell the DME agent approximately when you want to travel from the airport to your WDW resort.

Great info! Ty for taking the time to provide me with it. I'll be giving them a call!

I do it online because I tend to get CMs who insist on flight info. I have read countless times that it's not required, etc etc, but those aren't the CMs I get.

Just fill in whatever info for the day you need. easy peasy, no need to confuse a CM who refuses to get trained properly.

The regular agents at Disney Resort Reservations are not the DME experts. That's why the suggestion is to call Disney's Magical Express Guest Services at (866) 599-0951 instead of Walt Disney World Resort Reservations at (407) 939-7528.

The agents at DME Guest Services can provide the latest information on using DME if you're staying at the airport Hyatt or at an airport hotel with a shuttle. It's easier than looking up fake flights. And the DME reservation will accurately reflect the guest's travel plans.
