Disney's Insider and the Pirate and Princess Party

I just got my Disney's Insider email and at the bottom there was a link for "Pirate and Princess Party 2 years in the making" why now? Is it coming back? I love love loved the Pirate and Princess Party and would love to see it come back.. Has any one heard anything?

The fireworks are returning as part of the Summer Spectacular or whatever it is called that was announced, but I haven't heard anything about the parties themselves.

The video itself is from 2007. Not sure why they linked to it now...hmmm?

I saw the video and was wondering the same thing....I would LOVE to be able to attend a Princess and Pirate Party!

We were going to go to one last year and they nixed 'em. Shame. I hope they bring it back. We just didn't get a chance to go down the years they had them because we go down most often in the fall/winter but were going to switch and go in the spring to catch a P&PP, but no...

A couple weeks ago the Insider had an insanely out-of-date trivia question about Pleasure Island. I think they just randomly recycle content.

I doubt the P&P Parties will be returning. They tried them at different times of the year, and still CMs tended to out number guests. With the by-all-accounts excellent fireworks display being recycled as a "Summer" show this year, seems the final nail in the coffin.

Nicely done. Having stood through more than a couple "Celebrate Tonights" and dozens of nightly NYE celebrations, not sure how you could confuse the two, but then again I'd be shocked if the CM on the phone had ever seen either.

Actually, she had - and she was also a fan of the AC. I think she was trying to speak for the Insider people (if someone actually chose the question/answer, but it does now seem like it could be randomly pulled from somewhere), more than her own opinions (which seemed to be more in line with the rest of us, but she was also speaking from the PR point of view).

I was lucky enough to have gone to the first P&P party and the last P&P party and I loved them. I tell everyone that the P&P fireworks were the best fireworks display that Disney had! I wish they would bring the parties back.

Yeah I was there for the first one as well and I believe that same trip I went at least once more... All in all I went to at least 4 Pirate and Princess Parties.. I love the fact that the crowds are / were so low it made it enjoyable that way I remember back in the day they had E-ride nights which were just the parties but with out the theme.. we went to every one that we could when we were down there it made our trips much nicer because the crowds were crazy other wise..

P&P was our favorite, second to MNSSHP. The theming was done REALLY well and the games were a hit with our DD. Wish they would bring them back!

Perhaps we'll get lucky when they release POTC 4... we can dream, anyway...
