Disney Vacation Club Desk Reopens at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort​

The DVC desk closed in September, amid the ongoing reimagining of the resort’s lobby. It was temporarily relocated to a spot near Sandy Cove Gifts and Sundries. It moved back last month but didn’t reopen until now.

Thinking about getting a massage at Grand Floridian during my trip in December. What should I expect?

Just there for a long weekend and don't live far away (staying at Bonnet Creek bc December prices). I'll have other chances to have a "go-go-go" trip so this one will hopefully be relatively laid back.

BREAKING: Walt Disney World Monorail System Closed Following Reported Fire on Monorail Silver

Shortly before 9am this morning, an emergency call was made for a fire near Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. Based on unconfirmed social media posts, Monorail Silver suffered some sort of malfunction, leading to an alleged electrical fire. The fire appears to have produced some black smoke from near a joint between two monorail cabins.

It’s unclear if any guests were on the monorail at the time of the fire, or if there were any injuries. BlogMickey.com has reached out to Disney for more details about the incident, but we haven’t heard back.

The Walt Disney World monorail system is currently closed, likely due to the incident.
