Resort Thread Disney's GRAND FLORIDIAN Resort & Spa - **THE PERCH BAR NOW OPEN!!!**

Can anyone help me figure out the difference between these two room types at GF: Deluxe Club Level room and Resort View Club Level room. The Disney website is sorely lacking in information on rooms that cost this much. Square footage, floor plan, bathroom setup, pictures, really anything. Do they both have balconies? Which room would be better for 3 adults? They both say they have 2 queen beds and a sofa/daybed. Is this correct? Two of us can double up for sleeping, but would prefer our own space if possible. Any info or pics or websites with info would be greatly appreciated!

I know everyone has moved on in the lobby discussion to The Perch and the herringbone tile and limited booze offerings, but I cannot move past the garage sale lobby furniture. Is this really it? They scale is all wrong (too small, more living room than grand lobby), the colors and textures make it look frumpy, and it just doesn't look special. And now, it doesn't go with The Perch either. Ugh.

I dunno, @mrsap - I’m not convinced the tree will work where it’s been in the past given the presence of the stools on the side of the bar. Nothing happening yet, treewise, but I’m hoping to report back in the next few days. 🤞 Let me know if you want additional vantage points!

Resort view looks like the outer building rooms. Those have garden view or side view towards beach pool.

The deluxe can fit 6 but only allows 4. 2 queens and a sleeper sofa. More floor space and similar view as the resort view CL rooms.

My friend gets the deluxe queen cl often. The extra space is nice!

Humm. Thank for the pictures. I’d like to assume they’d put it somewhere, even if not dead center. If you have a chance, might you be able to speak to a CM up in the lounge and see if they offer up any info? Thanks!!!

I know Disney has removed and rearranged furniture in the past for the holiday decorations.

I am fine losing a strip of bar stools on the ELEGANT tile for the tree 🤞

I am going to bet it fits. They had to plan for this situation.

Short of using a tape measure that I can't get @GADisneyDad14 to carry. Or even the new tech solution of using the Measure app on an iPhone to measure the physical distance across the point where the The "Bird Cage Bar" herringbone tile ends to the carpet center point. I really really dislike the Disney name "The Perch at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa". Did it mention that yet?

I really think the bar including the ELEGANT tile is the exact same footprint as the old structure. The birdcage itself was smaller, but the platform was still there.

I think it would be extremely foolish for the flagship to lose an icon tree for the holidays over a bar. While Disney makes a lot of blunders this was probably reviewed and planned for. I bet Holiday Services already prepped an updated tree factoring in the new lobby theme. Holiday Services works years in advance from what I learned backstage during the Yuletide Fantasy Tour.

Thank you for the info :)
