FREE Games and Coloring Activities for Kids at The Garden View Lounge

Not only was a live pianist playing Disney tunes to set the mood, but The Garden Lounge (home to the former tea parties), was open. Guests were invited to come and participate in some complimentary activities!

A large variety of character coloring sheets were available for kids to pick up and work on. While coloring needed little instruction, the variety of games were a bit different. While anyone is welcome to pick out any game to play, a Cast Member was on hand to help kids navigate the differing rules of each game.

The activities Cast Member was busy engaging with young guests when we visited, while parents were able to leisurely relax and keep watch at the tables nearby.

The Garden View Lounge often offers these types of activities in the evenings, so be sure to stop by the next time your family visit the Grand Floridian- anyone is welcome to participate!

His first order of business would be to bring back the Grand 1 Yacht and make flip flops mandatory in all Signature restaurants!! But I can stand behind this and would support it. However, I have a couple of concessions… All CL’s must provide mandatory Moscato and/or Sweet Riesling at all hours of the day. The kids food section in the lounge is equal to or greater than the amount of adult food put out. And finally, I’d love the Orchestra to come back, but even more so, a band during the evening would be the cherry on the cake. (And they’d have to take on-demand requests from me.) If I think of any more, I’ll let you know. 😎😊😂
LOL

Can he work on bringing back everyone's fave CM who left the GF and is now currently at YC/BC

Construction started at 7am today and we have had no power in our room for 20mins.
Out of curiosity, the rooms with the lights on, does it look like they are furnished? It appears as though one is, but it gets more distorted when I try to make it bigger.

I noticed last night that they left the TVs on, it was hard to see any other furnishings.

Power ended up being out for almost an hour. Lucky we were switching to CL at YC today anyways.

Is the work on Boca Chica taking longer than Big Pine key? They seem similar size? I have a trip for April 2023 and when I spoke to resort services they noted a construction warning starting in March 2023 if I understood her correctly. I wonder if that will be the start of the main building? They started Boca Chica during our last stay in late June. I would switch to Polynesian but that's a construction zone too...

What building are you in? We arrive next week and I don’t always put room requests, but I was thinking I would this time. Would “away from construction” be a good request?

@vinotinto we were in Big Pine Key.

You could put in the request but honestly the construction was not an issue for us, besides the loss of power.

We spent a while at the pool and were not bothered and this morning I didn’t hear them until I was out on the balcony.

Vonnie. She was our fave along with I think Brenda oh and we loved Sammie from Mousekeeping
Oh ya our mutual friend always visited with her on her trips. Yes our mousekeeping friend retired. I asked about her.

Brenda is one I can’t remember? However I really only stayed in rpc the last few years ….

It’s nice we all have favs and keep track of them 💕

If they closed the main building, they better give an option to move, since that is a main drawing point for me. I have never seen it.

Hmm it's been a bajillion year since I was there maybe her name isn't Brenda, she was one of the lounge ladies.

Is Emjay(I think that's how she spelled her name) still there?

You have the monorail resorts plus WL and FW to access for food and fun. You can walk or take the monorail to MK to catch a boat to WL and have a fun meal at Whispering Canyon Cafe, a character meal at Storybook Dining, formerly Artist Point, or a relaxing meal at Geyser Point. There is also a boat to Fort Wilderness from MK which has a great playground for the kids that is close to the boat dock. You can walk over to the horse stable where the kids can ride the ponies.
how does the pony ride happen? Im bringing my kiddos in December, 3- and 5- and they would LOVE this
