I would like to know what services or perks do you get for your 20+ additional points per a night using the concierge. Are the rooms bigger? Do they have a full kitchen? Why is there such a large increase in the amount of points needed for the conciege type rooms?

Thank you

Lloyd

There are tangible extras, but much of concierge is about service.
Some of the tangible extras include light breakfast and snacks throughout the day, and cordials/beer/wine in the evening.

Is it worth the money/points? There are times the answer is yes, but more often the answer is no.
Even with that said, we do stay concierge level most of the time we are in a Disney hotel. We enjoy the expedited check in, and strolling to the concierge lounge for coffee and snacks.
In addition, if you stay at AKL, staying concierge level is the only way to do the Sunrise Safari! :smokin:

I should also add that we have seven adults booked into a 3br suite at the Grand Californian this August.
We added concierge for $150/night. That's an outstanding price seeing as though it covers everyone in the suite, and the suite will sleep 12 people. :smokin:

The rooms are not bigger (unless you booked a suite) nor is there a kitchen, or kitchenette. You do however, as mentioned, get breakfast, with a pretty good selection. "Tea" I think they called it? a mid day snack, fruits, vegetables, pb&J stuff like that. A wine and cheese hour, will fruit, cheeses, crackers, cookies, and vegetables and there is a separate story hour with (big!) cookies, and liquors for the adults. There can be quite a variety. But if you have PS for every meal, this may not be much of a selling point. We enjoy staying at the GCH Concierge level, and while we never take advantage of all they offer, we enjoy it when we are able to get up to the concierge suite for the goodies.

Save yourself the points.

When you check in ask for a fridge and stock it yourself. :thumbsup2

There is no charge for the fridge!

Does anyone know if there is a free airport shuttle to the hotel from the airport (magic express type service)?
Can we request a rollout bed or cot for the standard room?
Any info. would be helpful.
I see that in the Grand hotel you can get a room with a queen bed and bunk beds. Very cool except I don't have that many points to spend.
I was looking at the Disney Land hotel.
Any info. would be great.
Thanks

Do most people rent cars? I heard California driving is difficult.
