Mar 16, 2007. First day of the Electrical parade !

according to my guide, it says:

The Parade will open to the publicon Friday, March 16, 2007 at 8:45PM. It will run weekends (F,S,Su) till Summer with the two week Spring Break running 7 days.

The Till Summer part makes me wonder though, no EP in summer???

Ill bet it will be every day in the summer. Just a hunch though!

Now that's funny because on my April 26-30 stay, it showed it running every night, even Thursday. Wonder if that changed!

Andrea

I agree that it means weekends only till summer, then everyday!! Also they did change it and as I am staring at the printout I have from two weeks ago with the EP on Thursday the 26th, I am also staring at the computer screen and that night is gone!!!

Andrea

Traditionally, what do they mean by "summer", when referring to parade schedules? Do they mean until the equinox, when it officially turns to Fall? Do they mean "until most schools are back in session"? Some other calculation?

If anyone knows what they've done in the past, I'll be so happy! :yay:

I think this main summer season starts June 11th or around there!

Andrea

Also sorry I forgot, after the third week of August you usually see the change back to off-season schedules!

Andrea

Woot Woot! :woohoo: So excited. I finally get to see it this trip. I was so disappointed it was down before.

I'm planning on being at the parks on Friday, March 30; and, as much as I would love to see the Electrical Parade, I'm wondering how to fit it in with fireworks that night.

The Electrical Parade starts at 8:45PM @ DCA, and fireworks begins at 9:25PM @ Disneyland. Is it even possible to do both?

While DLR ramps up in June as far as park hours and show schedules, they usually consider the peak summer season begins on July 1 until about Aug. 20.

The above is also confirmed when you look at the AP blackout period, which begins the last week of June until Aug. 19. DLR blacks out certain AP holders during their peak time.

Aw criminy. This is what we get for going in mid September, mid-week!

AH yes, but you will have a fabulous trip most likely with walk on rides, great weather, and low crowds!! That is worth it alone!! :lmao:

Technically, its not possible. But hey, if you run as fast as you can, then it probably is.

Lately, its been insanely busy. ALL along the parade route is just PACKED. INSANE!

I looked at the June Calendar yesterday and it seems to be going everyday in the summer.

Just so you are aware, it is not just that it is difficult to do this. DLR has purposely set the time and direction of the DEP to make this virtually impossible. They want to avoid a bunch of people trying to do what you want to do and jamming the gates at DL onto an already crowded Main Street aqd hub, which are already a crowd control nightmare before and during the fireworks. With DCA hoppers trying to get in, it would make a difficult crowd situation worse. So DLR has tried to make it impossible.

I'm so happy! I 'm going mothers day and I have not seen it since they took it away "for good" back in the 90's I guess. YAY!
