5 days... It's horrible sitting here at work when I want to scream out loud with excitement!! :cool1:

We arrive tomorrow! This is a surprise trip for our kids (can't believe it as been kept a secret this long!) and our first stay at CSR! Looking forward to staying at a new resort!

Can someone who is recently back confirm that the hit tub is working? Just saw a review on TA saying it has been broken for weeks?

Yeah, I just saw what you are talking about. Down for 2 weeks so far? really?

We leave in 10 days for our stay at CSR. We have a split stay due to FD (the 7-9 is room only and 9-12 is FD package). I have all the info on picking up the tickets early etc. but I am really worried that we will have to switch rooms for the two reservations even though they are the same room class. I called the general reservation number and they said the reservations will be linked and I should be okay. Is this true? Is there anything else I should do?

Also, on a side note, does anyone know when the slide at the Dig pool closes at night. My kids are psyched to use the pool but we want to be at RD each day so we are hoping we can still swim at 7 or 8 at night.

And the hot tub? Oh please tell me it is fixed. My aching legs need that at night!

Thanks!

The slide will close when the lifeguards go off duty, which I think is 7:00. So you might want to make an effort to have an afternoon break or dinner-time swim if your kids specifically want to do the slide.

As for having to move rooms, more than likely you will not. If your room category is the same, they really shouldn't make you - after all, it's really more work for the housekeepers to ready two rooms for new guests (the one you're vacating and the vacated one you're moving to), than just one (whatever has been vacated). We did a complicated multi-night stay at Pop one year (one night room-only, one night on the Premium Plan, one night room-only), both my sister and brother-in-law, and my husband and myself. We had standard connecting rooms and were able to stay in the same rooms the entire visit. We made sure we mentioned it when we checked in and the CM was able to verify that we were slated to remain in the same rooms for all 3 reservations and we had no issues whatsoever.

Have a great trip! I'll be doing the single-digit dance in just a couple of days! We arrive on the 8th!

Actually as of last November when Disney changed their pool rules the slide and lifeguards are there until 11pm. However the pool closes completely now at that time. They kick everyone out and turn the lights out. No more midnight swims or hot tubbing.

DH and I just returned from our first trip to CSR. We went for a couple of nights before we got on our cruise. We usually stay Club level at Wilderness Lodge but because of the pool closure at the WL, we thought we would try some thing new. This was also our first trip without our DD's ( ages 10 and 11). We were very pleased with this resort. We had a king room in Business class. Our room was on second floor in the back. Very quiet. We liked the business class lounge. We thought we would miss all the vending offerings that we get at WL CL, but we were pleased with what was offered. It was a nice snack before dinner. The pool was great. We sent our girls pictures and they want to go there next time. I thought the hot tub was working. I didn't go in but glanced over when walking by. We thought the bus service was great. We only waited once for 10 mins, and that was at Epcot coming back. Many times we walked up and there were multiple buses waiting. Thought the bus service was better than WL. We are planning a trip next fall to celebrate my 40th. We are considering going back with our girls. They really want to see an alligator :)

Is there really an alligator at the hotel? My 5 year old is going to be very scared of an alligator. She's been riding Tower of Terror since she was 3, but the alligator may be a deal breaker!

I have pictures of the pool from last year dated 12/2 at 9:45p and there are still lifeguards watching the pool and people in the pool. Unless something changed, I don't think the pools close at 7p.

And yes, last year we saw a tiny (about 4 inches long) alligator in the lake. He just popped his head out at us while we were sitting at the Laguna Bar. Probably was there hoping for a handout. There was no way the little guy could climb up and get near you.
We never saw anything huge on the banks or anything....

Ok, a 4 inch alligator would be cute to my DD. The 5 ft one someone else reported seeing is a different story.

Thanks!

Does the hot tub really help for tired legs? I'm so out of shape and really worried I'll be dying two days into the trip.
