Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

I'm going to call in my room request this afternoon. We have ADR's at other resorts/theme parks for most breakfasts/dinners (DDP). We drive our own car and are planning on midday breaks by the resort pool/bar.
1). Can I request Cabanas 8A, closest to parking lot, top floor room. Stairs are fine with us, we're athletic. We're fine with walking to PM & fitness center.
2) is there a fee for the fitness center & if so, costs?

We used the stairs frequently also, but there ARE elevators, which is especially helpful when you have your suitcases.

I just booked us a vacation for September 7 - 12 at a preferred room at CSR. This will be our first time at a moderate, but CSR looks so nice I don't think we will miss the Deluxe and we certainly won't miss the price!

Does anyone have suggestions on room requests? What are the preferred room closer to? I would think we would either want to be closer to the main pool or a bus stop, but just wondering what my options will be.

Thanks in advance for your help - this is a really kind of last minute vacation change from a Texas beach vacation, sol I need to get as much information as possible in a short time.

Also what do you think the average bus wait for the parks is going to be? We are not renting a car, so it will be all Disney Transportation for us.

If you look at the resort map, the Preferred buildings are Casitas 1, 2 and 3. While they are not near the mail pool, you will be near bus stop 2 which is actually the FIRST stop to be picked up and dropped off at for the parks. (The bus order is stops 2, 3, 4, and 1).

There is no fee for resort guests at the Fitness Center. It is accessible 24 hours day with your Magic Band. If it's after hours you enter with your Magic band through the door on the parking lot side.

All the reports?

There was one person stating that buses for MK at rope drop were full and passed by stops 4 and 1 first thing in the morning during their stay.

We used stop 1 (the last stop) exclusively last trip Dec. 12th-24th and never had a single bus pass us by. This would be a rare thing not the norm and was only MK buses first thing in the morning.

They aren't all in the most convienient location to every room, but they are there.

JMO, but I wouldn't do it. I've had too many flight delays over the years. Flights can be delayed in all seasons because of the weather and it doesn't have be the weather in your area. It can be the weather in the area your plane is coming from. (ie. I was delayed once due to lightning in FL, even though the weather was picture perfect where I was.)

I ended up canceling it, but do have one for 8:30 at hoop dee doo, I would hope we would make that one!

There is one at each of the 3 quiet pools. Each has about a dozen washers and a dozen driers. I would describe as adequate and similar to other resorts of the same level.

I hope so. We love the Hoop Dee Doo and have it scheduled for our next trip.

Very nice. Clean. You can get change (quarters), buy soaps, buy snacks, etc.
$2 wash, $2 dry.
