Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Thanks for finding us a new home! Between this thread and the BC/YC thread, my luggage is really getting a workout today!!!!

Couldn't see the Atrium CL from there (or at least I never noticed) and while I had been told that Tower guests were allowed to use both CL lounges, we were told that was no longer allowed and our magic bands only worked for the 14th floor. CM's were nice and the offerings were good but we found ourselves having to ask for things as they didn't seem to replenish all that much. We really enjoyed our stay and found that floor to be very quiet compared to some of our other CL stays at other resorts. In a couple of months we'll be staying at the CR again but this time in a TPV Atrium CL room so I'll be able to compare the two lounges better. Loved it there and can't wait to go back. HTH

I don't think I was very clear about what I meant in my first post, but I was curious whether you could see down to the 4th floor atrium area (Chef Mickey's, the gift shops, monorail, etc) from the 14th floor, since I'd heard the whole 14th floor was closed off from it. Are there any windows to see down to the monorail area?

There were no windows looking down that I could see. That entire floor seemed very quiet and our suite was literally right off to the left as you walked off the elevators...lounge was to the right off the elevators. Thought we might get some noise being close to the elevators but we heard nothing, but then again, the suite was so enormous that we barely could hear each other if we weren't in the same room .

This has been done with the GF as well. In the past, RPC guests had access to both the RPC and SL lounges, but from what I've been hearing, that is no longer the case as RPC guests can only access RPC.

I'll be more than happy to take plenty of pics of the CR Tower Club and our room when we're there, but it won't be until October. (wish it was sooner!)

I have a WL question...I'm booked in a Standard CL room right now, meaning I'll be on the same floor as the lounge, correct? I'm an (extremely) light sleeper, and even though I always travel with a sound machine, should I request a room away from the lounge? Does it get loud around there?

Well I've tweaked my resort yet again, sorry Erika

Still 15-22 November but I'm now at the Beach Club - I decided to move as I have a friend staying at the BCV. Unfortunately there were only the standard view available for my dates so I'll have the very desirable view of the parking lot or roof top lol still, at least I'm at the Beach Club

On the subject of the 14th floor at CR (from old thread)

No, you can't see down.

Our stay was before the much needed renovation. We felt it was much needed though! The lounge was very nice though.

The balconies on the upper floor are much larger. We had one of the two more ordinary rooms up there. (though slept four vs. regular 5). Where the daybed would be, we had a table. Our bathroom was a different layout was well.

The food was overall the same, but portions on the upper CL are lower due to lower overall volume.
This is hard to explain quickly, but on 12th floor, higher volume food means more turnover. So that's where the 14th sometimes differs. Like maybe one floor runs out of chocolate mousse for the day and the other does not. Sometimes if the CL runs out of a food, they will sub something else. Other times, that's it- especially as it gets close to 10pm. Still other times (more 12th floor), the CM's begged us to take more food!

I am curious to see the new 14th floor!

I did stay 12th floor pre and post changes...they were not all that different. Nice, but mostly replaced similar furniture. At one point, WDW said BIG changes coming to 14th floor..then they dropped those plans. I think the changes they made to 14 were bigger than the 12th, but not the full SPA idea they once floated.

How did I miss this????? When did they start having the chef? So do people like this bettering or worse? If anyone has had experience with this, please share! We have 2 stays coming up. Oct. 10-12th (my birthday!) and Dec. 10-12 (my DS3 birthday!) Both AKL CL

If you do a search for CR images, a website dedicated to CR pops up pretty quickly (with Tower lounge images, plus a map of the 14th floor layout.) I'm not 100% sure they are post rehab, but I think may be they are. The food area is about what I recall, but the furniture looks different.


Then again...It sounds like the AKL lounge has changed just since our Jan stay!

Yes! You'll be on the 7th floor! At no time in the lounge area did it seem loud or too noisy. It's very relaxing and peaceful actually. Our room was right around the corner from the lounge, wouldn't know it other than the amazing smells!!!! Enjoy!!!!

I think because the hallway turns and there's a distance between that first room and the turn the sound can't make it that far. The entrance to the castmember food service area is also in the hall before the turn, and we never heard it either.

This is our 5th Club level stay at AKL. I do not like the new evening offerings. No kids offerings other than apples. We enjoyed the previous offerings. The offerings now are completely different--other than the hummus and cheese each night. We are all vegetarians. When we used to stay at least one of the hot offerings was vegetarian. This trip only one thing has been vegetarian all week. We have enjoyed the breakfast, snacks and evening offerings. We just liked it better the old way. Our trip has been great as usual when staying at AKL

Can you tell us what they were serving? I'm surprised they would go to all meat dishes since they've always embraced vegetarian dishes and options there. That's a bummer.
