@trishadono you mentioned fetching things for your mom - does this mean you can get things from the lounge (such as breakfast for teens sleeping in or apps/wine at night to enjoy on our own balcony)? It's ok to bring food and drinks back to your room rather than consume in lounge? It's our first CL stay coming up in August (yay!), so I'm curious. Also, I contacted DSS last night, thanks to the email provided here on the DIS, about a room request and they replied to me this morning:-)
which cl are you doing?

Checking in with y’all real quick from AKL! The Club Lounge is as wonderful as ever! Great to see some of the long-time CMs here I’ve met many times before.

Breakfast this morning was great! Lots of fruits, breads, pastries, meats, oatmeal and delicious bobotie. Plenty of snacks during the day - enough that I didn’t need lunch!

Looking forward to meeting the chef this evening and watching the Super Bowl in the Lounge!

Sounds fun! Thanks for checking in.

The building is very confusing. Looking at touring plans room finder maps and familiarizing myself with the layout helped a lot.

From cl lounge you take the elevator to 2nd floor and then switch to a different elevator to 1st floor for boat, or go down stairs towards the lake.

For buses elevator to 2nd floor and then head out doors front by lobby , keep left.

For quiet pool take elevator from 4th floor to 1st and head left out the doors, or get off 2nd and walk down stairs towards gardens.

For main pool go like for boat but head left towards villas and through tunnel like doorway for clown pool... if you dare.

They didn't greet and I got a room NOT ready text. I found the elevator and went to 4th floor. I knew cl area was to the right so I just walked. The cl desk is situated prior to the security doors. I said I was checking in and they said it shouldn't be long so we went through the door and walked until we found the lounge on the right. Compared to poly and gf this will seem like a bit of a walk. However it's so lovely, quiet and inside safe from elements, who cares?

Where carpet changes to hardwood is where the cm desk is. There is also a podium outside of lounge if needed as well.

Thanks so much for this......very helpful, as always ;). The BWI stay is a girls trip and is more of a relaxing/take our time kind of trip rather than park oriented, so we'll have plenty of time to explore the resort :goodvibes.

Really excited about the CL stay and glad to hear we can take things back to room or to pool area!:thanks:

Hope you have a great trip and enjoy your first CL stay :wizard:.

I’m very excited to see you have two trips on the books! :jumping3:

Thank you so much!! It's been quite awhile since I've been to Disney, so I am very excited to be planning again. May is more of a "me" trip as I'm going with my cousin and her adult DD, but October is with my sister and our niece. My niece has been once, but this will be her first Halloween party, so it should be a lot of fun :goodvibes.

Your friendly posts were always one of the reasons I even started hanging around this thread and the DIS. Glad to see you have a little Disney fun this year!

That is so nice of you to say, thank you :flower3:. Right back at ya on the friendly posts. I always look forward to reading your posts, especially whenever someone asks about CL, as they are filled with great detail/suggestions. And, as always, great pics are also included :goodvibes.

Thanks for checking in. Glad you're having a great time :).

This is my first year having an AP - I don't usually have multiple trips in a year but things just kind of fell that way so it seemed prudent. I looked up the "historical dates" for the release of the late spring AP rates and I know it's later this year. I know things can change about how Disney does these things, but the wait is killing me! :yay: Hoping for this week, although thinking there won't be a lot of availability for my dates anyhow!
The wait is awful isn’t it! Hope something pops for you. It’s fun when there’s something to play with. Waiting, not so much.

This is first time for APs too. So far we’ve gotten 3 trips in, have 3 more in the works and in the waiting game here too. June is booked, waiting for the FP window. However if the FP test gets extended, I’ll switch things up since we’re in CR deluxe and not CL. End of summer, toying with when to go down and if I should change over the AKL part of our split to SL. Then, waiting for F&W dates. Last year they didn’t release the events until July. I have a room already booked, but need my friend to figure out her time off and hope for good events on our dates. So much waiting!

I read that the Yacht and Beach Club doesn't like you taking wine or beer back to your room? My friend at the BWI a couple years ago took a few unopened beers back to her room. I had no problems doing so at the AKL, but that was a long time ago.

Can anyone comment? I prefer to relax in our room with a drink most afternoons (but don't have a club room booked currently, just curious). My dream is to do GF RPC; working on deciding between that and what we have booked which is a BCV 1BR villa for our 25th anniversary late May (we spent 4 nights of our honeymoon at the GF, and stayed there again with our oldest once). Can't wrap my head around a room costing $1k a night for 8 nights, and I do not like a split stay.

You’ll have so much fun! That’s the best for a girls trip.

A friend and I did BWI last November for a girls F&W trip. It was awesome. We spent quite a bit of our BWI time having cocktails in Bellevue lounge. (Neither of us particularly cared for Abracadabra). Our dinner at Flying Fish was outstanding. We also enjoyed the morning walks to DHS and Epcot after hitting the bakery. It really worked for our eating, drinking, with the parks as a bonus kind of trip. Have fun!

which cl are you doing?

We are staying at Beach Club. We have stayed at Beach Club before, but this will be the first time we have ever stayed Club Level. I've always thought about it, but never followed through. This trip will be 11 nights at PORS (lots of park time) but we will finish with 3 nights club level Beach Club (and spend pool time, lounge time, walk the Boardwalk and wander into Epcot for a couple of hours each day, but no other parks). We love stormalong bay and my teen DD's enjoy the vibe of the Boardwalk. My dad is turning 75 so we thought it would be a great way to celebrate by trying club level (we are surprising him with it). Your pictures are awesome - I just came inside from shovelling snow for the 3rd time today, so your pictures are a pleasure to look at! Thank you:-)

We had no issues taking drinks back to our room at BC last summer. We’d also take drinks back to the open hallway areas where they have sofas, chairs and coffee tables after the lounge closed at night.

I didn't have a problem at bc cl. Yc is the only one I have left to try.

Absolutely. We just stayed CL at CR and I was constantly bringing stuff back to the room for my wife. Your only limit is how much you can carry :-)

yes! Bring things back to the room- anytime- only restriction is what you can physically carry. I had a hard time w/ that at AKL and one of the CMs was wonderful enough to escort me back to my room (since it was a bit of a haul) to help me carry wine and goodies back. Enjoy!
