My REVIEW- (Got back June 2nd)
ONLY CON:
Check in was awful. I did online check in and it took an hour and a half before we were off to our rooms. Got to the rooms, the magic bands didn't work. Took 2 managers to fix this issue. We were STARVING and I kept saying, "Can we just go eat and then come back?" Oh it will just be one more minute.....it was bad. The manager gave us one extra FP+ for 4 days out of a 5 day ticket. Whatever :headache:
We used TP room request feature and requested Martinique Blgd 26, ground floor. We got Trinidad North Bldg 31, 2nd floor. SOOOO, it didn't work for us.

PROS:

FOOD- Was so good. Lots of choices. We ordered a large pizza several times on this trip for $15 and it was really good. They had the best steamed broccoli that I've ever had (and I don't really like broccoli). Got the kids Mojo pork a lot bc the adult size was too much food. You can get the kid's meals without the bucket and it's $1 less. We had a ton of buckets! They'll also let you try an item before you order, which was nice. Ice cream was eh. There were always plenty of seats. We never had an issue finding a table.

TIP---------There is a concierge desk in between the food area and gift shop at OLD PORT ROYALE. You can go there to pay on your magic bands with gift cards, etc., Take care of any magic band issues, AND to check out. They were very helpful. We thought we had to go back to the Custom House to check out and to pay on our magic bands. Nope!

Hope this review helps some folks! (We also decided that we like CBR way more than POR:love:)

I have never done online check in....do you think you would have had just as long of a wait had you checked in the regular way? I'm on the fence as to whether or not I should do online check in. I also have a room request through TP......thinking they don't even read those? lol

Nice regarding food. I'm assuming this is at the food court area?

So, did you charge stuff to your room? I always wondered if you charged stuff to your room, when do they charge your credit card? I would like to charge to room but pay at the end with my abundant gift cards. Is this what you did? And great tip using concierge desk for check out! It seems like everyone has trouble with one or more of the bands.....

I'm a happy camper! I snagged a Be Our Guest breakfast ADR and we're now in the double digits. 99 days until we check in at CBR! Next milestone will be Fast Passes and online check in. Can't wait!

I was so happy to snag lunch ADRs one day and breakfast on another day at BOG......since we booked at 4 months out, BOG was of course booked up for 2. I got the hint somewhere about booking 2 separate ADRs for 1 person each.....and this is how I got breakfast and lunch ADRs. Our reservations are 10 min apart from each other but I don't expect that to be a problem.....and since it's QS and you pick where to sit, we can still sit together.

We scored a BOG breakfast ADR too!! Glad I'm not the only one who got really excited LOL.
Excited to try breakfast!

DH and I were upgraded to a King in 2008 at POR and in 2013 at CBR. TA said Families usually need the 2 beds so they usually upgrade couples to King.
Sadness. We paid for a King.
I'm officially booked! Sept 28 - Oct 8, 2016!
We'll be there the same times.......we check in Sept 29 but check out Oct 5th.

Me too!! Couldn't get any lunch ADR but was able to get breakfast the other day! I am all set with our ADR just waiting for the FP+ :)
Us too!

Just got back from our first CBR trip after 5 straight stays at CSR. We LOVE Caribbean Beach!

We had a water-view room, and were initially placed in Trinidad North. The view was "eh" - we were near the bridge at the thin part of the lake. We were able to get switched to Aruba 55 and couldn't be happier. Yes, it's a hike to Centertown, but it's a beautiful walk, so I view that as a bonus! The pool is amazing, though the slide does lack in comparison to CSR's. Still fun, though. Busing was only an issue on one day - every other day, we waited no more than 10-15 minutes for anything. The multiple stops don't take away from trip time nearly as much as having to stop at another resort, like is the case at Riverside. Travel time to MK was under 20 minutes, Epcot and DHS took about 8 minutes, and AK was around 10. Downtown Disney also wasn't much more than 10 minutes.

The room was beautiful, and the murphy bed made for some sound sleeping for this party of 4. The kids did fight over it a little, though :)

Our hearts are still at Coronado, but it will be a VERY tough decision next year. Currently, two of us want CBR, while the other two want CSR. For our daughter, the hair wraps win it for CBR!

THANK YOU to everyone in this forum who answered our questions and concerns going in. We had a blast at Caribbean Beach!

So glad you had a great time at CBR!! We'll be back exactly one month from today, and I can't wait

Hope there's a trip report coming.... :)

I have a question regrading traveling to other resort.
We have a dinner ADR at Cape May Cafe on one of our lazy day and we plan on trying the water park. I want to be able to go back to CBR, shower and get ready for the dinner after the water park, how late we can stay in the water park so it would gives us enough time to travel to the beach club, and what is the best route to travel from resort (CBR) to resort (BCR)? We don't have a car and are totally relying on the bus. Thanks in advance for all the tips :)

I would give yourself 45 minutes to get back to CBR from the Water Park to be safe. I don't know how long it will take for you to get ready for dinner.

When going from resort to resort, we prefer to take a taxi. We have gone many times from CBR to Cape May Café and it's usually ~$14 + tip. It's about a 8-9 minute cab ride.

If you don't want to do that, I would take a bus to DHS and then either walk or take the boat from DHS to Beach Club. To go this route, I would be at the CBR bus stop 90 minutes before your ADR at Cape May.

Wow, 90 minutes is a long time. We will probably do the taxi, but we have a 4 year old and won't have any car seat and it's 5 of us, will that be a problem? Also how easy to grab a cab? Or I just have to get it through the resort? Thanks a bunch!

did you request the murphy bed or just get it by chance. I am still debating on CBR but if I knew we could get the room with Murphy bed it would be a done deal. there will be 4 of us... 3 adults, and a 4 year old

Yeah, that's why we cab it when going from resort to resort because you are using 2 separate modes WDW transportation. You can request a minivan to fit you all. It's very easy to grab a cab. We usually call Bell Services from our room about 10 minutes before we want to leave and ask them to get us a cab to Beach Club. Within 5 minutes, a cab will be pulling into the circular drive for our building.

We got it by chance, but there was one in both the room we turned down in Trinidad North and the one we eventually took in Aruba. We'll definitely request a room with one next year. Unfortunately, I don't know what percentage of rooms have the murphy beds.

CBR to Beach Club was $9 + tip by cab for us last week. And yes, it's by far the best way to travel between resorts.

Thanks for the correction. I wasn't at home when I replied so I couldn't check my notes. That's what I get for going on memory.

180 days and we will be at CBR for our first Christmas stay! ADR's all booked this morning, just waiting on the CP packages to be released! Got everything we wanted including lunch at BOG, a dinner reservation at CRT and an Akershus breakfast! Super excited for this trip which right now includes 5 character meals!

I'm in the same boat, kids in school for 4 days then pull them out for 7 days. When we booked for FD that's all that was left for Sept. So I took it. Booked my dining. Then more rooms opened. Thought about changing but crowd levels should be low. And I keep telling myself the first few weeks are mostly review. Mine are in middle school now.

When I originally scheduled our trip for the week before Labor Day I had no idea that the kids would be going back to school before Labor Day (we're from Buffalo). So it turns out my son will miss 2 days of school. Like you I'm thinking it will just be review & paperwork to bring home for me to sign. My daughter is in a community college so she'll have to make arrangements with her professors; but first week for her is just getting her sylabus and classes ending early. I'm not giving up free dining for that!! :duck:

Hello!

I am not personally staying at CBR but my sister will be September 2-8th and she asked me to find the answer to a question for her. She is under the impression you can see a lot of the illuminations higher fireworks from CBR. I looked on youtube and the views appeared to be just the tip tops over some trees. Is this even possible and/or worth bothering with in your opinion, and if so, is there a best place at the resort to catch what you can see of it? From what I saw it didn't look like much of anything was visible.

Thank you!

Thank you!

We saw them great from the pool area. Also saw the Star Wars fireworks from DHS.

You can really see Illuminations from the parking lot behind Aruba, though.
