Disney's California Food & Wine Festival details announced

Thank you for posting this.

I must say that I am disappointed though. They cut out the event at WWT of hor-deovurs and wine that ends with a wonderful view of the EP. And the Sweet Sunday events which were barely worth the price last year, went up in price quite a bit. We loved the "country" themed dinners last year...Japan...France. And there are no lunch venues. Unless you want to spend $135 on a dinner, you're out of luck. **Sigh** And the "Taste" party is usually two nights, isn't it? For the first time since it started, I don't think I will be attending any events.

I'm going to look now! Thanks for posting..DH and I are planning on attending in April!

Thank you! I am hoping they give more info about the Prix Fixe meals that will be offered soon. Looking forward to this!

Thank you for the info!

Is it just me, or does it seem that many of the weekend events are not being held the weekend of April 23-25? I see something for the Friday night, but the Saturday/Sunday events seem to be scheduled for the 17/18 of April, and then not again until the first weekend in May. We're there from the 20-25 of April, so I'm just trying to figure out if there is something else going on that weekend, or if there will be other activities that aren't listed yet. Any thoughts?

Thanks!
:)

Lulubelle, I completely agree with you. I will miss the wine & hors deourve night. They were a reasonable price, and I really enjoyed it. I don't think I'll plunk down the $135+ for a dinner. I wish they had more affordable options like they do at WDW. Are they getting to big for their britches (and the market)?

What a bummer :-( Is there anything you might recommend for our first go at the Food and Wine Festival?

Ditto...is there info somewhere about what was offered last year to compare?

We've been waiting on the dates, cool. We're already looking forward to the Taste. It was a BLAST last year. I'll get that room reservation request put in now. :yay:

Thanks for posting.
We'll be there for our 1st DCA Food & Wine this year too- May 3-8.
We're just going to stick to the wine walk and beer walk and check out the various food available.
I know it's different than WDW- but we're excited to be there anyway! :woohoo:

Us, too! I was looking over the events again, and I think we're going to do the same -- wine walk and probably one Sweet Sunday (as a special treat), but otherwise we're just going to "drink it all in" (ha ha!).

I think we'll be doing the three nights with two nights free deal at the Paradise Pier. We can't spring for the Californian, and figure the PP will be close to the Food and Wine festivities. :cloud9:

So, so, so excited!

Now I've got to go figure out if we want to spend the extra $200 to fly into Orange County, or if we just fly into LAX and rent a car.

We're flying into LAX, but taking the GrayLine bus to Disneyland. Round trip is only $32/adult (and I think they offer a AAA discount as well)
We don't think we'll need a rental car.

This is so awesome! I will be in DL from May 17th-21st for my first trip ever! I cannot wait to read more about the food festival.

The Super Shuttle is pretty darn cheap...from LAX

We're flying in from Wisc. May 3rd-any suggestions on shuttles to DL from Airport? We've done the Food & Wine Festival a few times from WDW-good time
