Disneys Big Announcement

For months there has big speculation what will be announced ~ DVC at Contemporary....DVC at Animal Kingdom Lodge......DVC near Petty experience....DVC at Poly.....DVC at DL....Mickey & Minnie finally marrying.... You get the idea. So how did all this madness start. WHo said there would be a big announcement...Who said it would be October... Isn't October1 the date of the kick off for the year of a MIllion Dreams. How did all the DVC speculation start????

It all started with a lawyer who was at a convention. There he met another lawyer for a major towel supplier to Disney. He knew the purchasing agent at Disney who had an uncle that lived next door to lady who owned a computer. This woman claimed she saw it on the disboards.

October 1 is the beginning of Disney's fiscal year therefore the time when new projects are typically announced.

Kind of a "this is our plan for the new year", rah-rah, pep-rally message.

Well, realistically. SSR will likely be selling out in the next year. Either DVC announces new resort or they announce that they are quitting. (I personally think they are going to announce VAKL, VCR and a DL DVC all at the same time.)

Oh wait. Bay lake has a couple of islands. I see it now every suite has a water view for only 80 point a night Sunday-Thursday and 150 points a night Friday, Saturday. Every room comes with unlimited use of 2 watermice, a bowrider & equipment including bait for the duration of your stay.

Dorothy and the Tinman will be making the announcement. The Lion is still to scared to speak in public.

The Scarecrow is working on the Disney Project that will be built in Texas and will be unavailable to be at the announcement.

We are just back from Disney. I talked to several DVC employees about all the speculation and it is just speculation at this point. DVC top dogs know what they are going to do, but they haven't passed that information on to the lower people down the line. They don't want the cat or mouse I guess you could say, out of the bag. So, people guess around hoping they are right. We will truly have to see who is right, because it is all just guess work at this point.

When is the Member Cruise? I thought some thought it may be announced on the Member Cruise. I wasn't in for all the promo on the MC.

The Member Cruise is Oct. 22-26.

I think Disney should take one section from CSR's (3 sections) and turned it into DVC. we love it there.
