Disney's Beauty And The Beast Magazine by Western Publishing

When looking through my box of childhood magazines of Barbie Magazine and other kids magazines I found a copy of Beauty And The Beast Magazine and I was wondering if anyone had seen this magazine before? It was published by the same company as Barbie Magazine Western Publishing and talks about Beauty And The Beast and how it was made and features stories about what Belle might've been reading about and pictures of real stuff found in Europe from castles to the history of books. Beauty And The Beast Magazine debuted in 1992 and the issue that I have is the premier issue because it seemed that there was no other issues published of this magazine. Did they quit publishing it in 1992 and why did it fail?

It didn't 'fail', it was just a special edition magazine and only one issue was made.

Yes, this was common for movies at the time - just a single issue with a lot of information intended to drum up hype for the movie. I'm sure it probably sold a lot of copies.
