I just want to say thank you! Like so many of us I switched my ressies to AoA for the end of October and have questioned that move. We too will be staying in the LM (2 rms for our family of 6, it's cheaper than a suite) and your post made me feel so much better. I have also be wondering if I'm getting a little sappy about WDW but you also soothed that fear. When I was a kid we never got to go on vacations and I had cousins that got to visit WDW every yr. It was so hard to hear their stories and see their pictures. I've always loved all things Disney and my grandmother finally made my dream of WDW come true when I was in the 8th grade. It was just as magical as I dreamed! When I got married we went for our honeymoon (my 2nd visit to WDW) and now we are finally able to take our children (while they are still young enough) and hope to do so about every 3-4yrs after. This will be our first new resort and the 1st trip with our kids. WDW has always been a magical place in my eyes and I hope it stays the way sometimes like you stated being childlike is amazing!

Great, your comment makes me feel good, too, Kbarrett. I just wanted Marblies to know that their feeling is absolutely normal and if I help others to feel good too, that's even better! I hope your trip is as amazing and magical as you're wishing for it to be for you and your kids!

I was originally booked at POR, struggling over whether or not to switch to a Royal Room. I had looked at AoA, but decided not book because their was no slide or full-service restaurant, plus it wasn't included in the summer promo. But once I saw a picture of the Cars courtyward I was sold. It's like you are right in the middle of Radiator Springs! I love it!

We've booked a LM room at AoA and we can't wait. We're planning to surprise the girls. The rooms may be a little far away from the food & bus stop but with all the attention to detail, I won't mind the walk at all! And the Cars courtyard looks A-MAZ-ING!!

Oh, good for you. Being a poster is so much more fun than being a lurker here. I haven't been here long myself, but there are so many nice people and so many of us are so excited to be the 'new' AoA guests. Glad that you're now part of all the excitement! And, yes, the Cars movie is probably the least of my favorites of the four (not that I don't like it, but the other three would be 1st to 3rd) and I can't wait to see and explore 'Cars Land' either. It just looks so cute and fun!

Everyone has nemo and main halls itis since it is coming up so soon...! I bet once they are open we'll get more info on them all, then the focus will be cars, lion king and finally LM!

Because it was a month ago and I'm sure progress has been made to LM since then. Aerials of LM are the best pictures we have seen for the buildings/pool.

This is how I felt when I saw free dining was available for our dates. We were paying rack rate anyway, so even though I normally would not do FD, I maneuvered things around to take advantage of it. It actually is going to be a pretty good deal for my family, assuming DS doesn't decide he wants to do a bunch of TS meals. If he does, we will upgrade the QSDP -- but I doubt that will happen. I'll probably pay for a meal OOP, but I'll still count myself as coming out ahead!

We moved to AoA with a little mermaid room for our upcoming trip.....DD still thinks we are staying at ASMo. Friends from church booked a cars suite and arrive the day before we leave. Seems pretty popular and very neat. I can't wait to see it.

My husband just broke the news to me that he has book a Disney trip for AoA (mermaid) for us! He wanted to wait until my birthday in August to tell me but he can't keep a secret! I'm suppose to act like I don't know anything because my daughter helped with the trip....now I don't know if I can keep the secret!
