The fact they are being so good about it is what makes me feel bad because I know my son is a HUGE Cars fan. Right now its looking like a 50 difference per night between 2 LM rooms or one suite and that adds up over 2 weeks. Like almost 800 more I think.

Finger crossed they offer some kind of deal/discount so we can switch over. But if not I know we will all have a great time anyway. I just wish they would my info in correctly so I wouldnt have to worry about our connecting rooms.

I did tell them we can still go explore the Cars and Nemo areas also.

since you're going for 2 weeks, maybe shorten the trip by 2 nights and that would lower the cost a bit to do the suite instead. Or split the stay - half the week in the LM rooms and then move over to a suite.

Thanks for the ideas. I think moving over would be hard with as much crap as my family brings. Plus we have the service dog with. But I am going to consider taking your advice and see if taking off one night maybe and tweaking would help .

I will try crunching some numbers later. If I can swing it I think I will leave it as a suprise and not tell them. I am so bad at suprises. lol It would really shock them.

If I cant do it maybe I will do up a little in room suprise instead . Maybe a gift bag or something with their favorite characters.

Hard call 2 more days at Disney , or the suite... I want it all ! lol

I'm currently at the World and rode past AoA on the bus tonight. I'm happy to report both the huge resort signs -- the one at the road and the one at the main building -- are illuminated and look great!

My husband and myself had been planning on booking a moderate resort for our December trip (still planning) however now that AoA will be open I can hear it calling my name....(shhh, you can hear it!!)

I do have to say though that my 8 year old son is not thrilled at staying in a Little Mermaid room. In his opinion it is a girly movie, at this age, though he did enjoy watching it when he was younger.

In the end he is a pretty easy going kid and goes with the flow so he would go for it if it meant a trip to WDW.

A Monster's Inc wing would be SWEET !

Oh they show us a tantalizing glimpse of a big rock thing with a sea flower on it in the Lm secton. Not in place yet. Wonder how it will be placed. Its at the very end.

I want to know about the comfort of the pull out sofa and the murphy type table bed.
We are traveling with my MIL next spring and were looking at staying in two rooms at WL. I am looking at these Family suites as a way to save a little money. My concern is the comfort of the pull out beds. Not a concern for the kids but my husband and I or my MIL will have to sleep on a pull out bed for a week. I don't want to save a few bucks just to have someone with a sore back all week long.
Keep us all posted as people come back about how comfortable the beds are Please.

I just think Disney dropped the ball by eliminating a whole group of people from the new value rooms. I don't think they should have a section that is "boy" oriented at all-just something that appeals to everyone. I wouldn't have had a problem at all if they had, for example, made the Cars and Little Mermaid sections both all family suites and then had one of the other sections have normal rooms. Just seems odd to me.

I guess I don't see it as a girly theme either. When my son was young, he liked LM just as much as Lion King and otehr Disney movies. I consider that one to be very gender neutral.

Awesome video!!!!!I would love to stay at AoA in a suite(they look sooo nice!!) but right now we have 2 rooms at Pop for our Sept vacation with free dining. The LM rooms look like they are pretty far away from the food courts and I assume far from the busses too. Personally i like being close to the food courts so we can grab breakfast and jump on the busses(at least grab a drink) Time will tell where the bus stops are.... Can't wait till AoA opens so all our questions will be answered! I really wished they would offer the rooms with the free dining promo.....I really want to stay here.......
