Oh what to do, what to do????

We really wanted to go in May when the weather was still semi-mild and crowds were low.... But we REALLY would love to stay here! Switch to the first week in June? Wonder how crowds/weather are??

Disneyjunkie - I love the picture in your signature. It's very beautiful.

I'd like to stay in a Little Mermaid room. That or the new Princess Tiana Royal room in POR. I like the girly themes!

The weather won't be too different.

May is better for crowds because most schools don't start letting out until middle May. As we move into summer, more schools let out. But the Northeast doesn't finish completely until the end of June. So the longer you wait in June, the more crowded it could become.

my wonderful husband (after seeing the Lion King suite pics) said 'Book it!'...so we are taking our grandchildren next Oct 6-14! Woooohooo!!!

I adore the pics of this resort and I as well as my boys are desperate to stay here next sep/october we want to do an2 or 3 wk stay as reasonable as possible so was gutted to see the prices! We love pop as I think over themed resorts look brilliant and make it sooo magical IMO so I was wondering if anybody knew the prices since we are a family of 6 we always get two rooms but since we come from England they don't give free Dining to values!!!!! I was wondering if I called Disney direct wether we would get the dining like we would if we booked in the states? Either way would-be good to know the price :)

This resort is VERY appealing to me right now. :thumbsup2 I'm American but my husband and his family are all English (all except my hubby live in England) so they're all coming over in Summer 2012 for a Disney trip. The cost of their flights alone is going to be astronomical:eek: so we're trying to keep cost down as much as possible. I think this resort with the family suite will work nicely for part of the family while the rest of us take the standard rooms. My only question is whether the family suite has any sort of kitchen set up -- or at least a fridge as the UK family may be at Disney for 2 weeks. That's too long to be eating out every day, yet the Villas at some of the other locations are really expensive (Saratoga, etc). I've never stayed at a value before, so I'm a bit disappointed that the only moderate option is Fort Wilderness -- not my style.

Anyone know the fridge options at values?

It is my understanding that the standard rooms (Little Mermaid section) will not be available until December 2012.

The family suites do have a kitchenette with microwave and small fridge.

We would love to stay at this resort next Fall - has anyone been able to book this resort with the military discount that is currently out thru 10/1/12? I'd love to know if it's included or not since it is new & also curious if it would be the same 30% off as the other Values. TIA!! :goodvibes

For those who have stayed at POP (since AoA is right by POP), how long does it take once you are on the bus to get to MK? Just trying to get an idea for AoA since we are booked there next Oct for MNSSHP :cool1:

The new resort also has a coffee maker and an extra sink. I think it would be possible to have meals there.. good luck and happy planning.

This resort is starting to look amazing i cant wait to it all is finally complete. I was wondering if someone could tell me are they just working at one section at a time and then moving on to the next one. Also, does anyone know if there have been any delays and the temporary dates have been moved back? Also, when do you think the price of these rooms are going to go down to a "value" price resort?

Also, when do you think the price of these rooms are going to go down to a "value" price resort?

I don't expect it will. Disney will likely just hold the prices steady or near-steady and let the other values "catch up" if needed to fill the rooms after the "new" factor wears off. But with so few other options in that price range for larger families I wouldn't even count on that - I suspect they'll be able to charge at least a small premium over the other value suites for quite some time.

We are going to Disney for 3 wks next september and I love pop more then most resorts, love over themed brightness of it! I really want to stay at AoA but can get a better deal for Saratoga springs with free DDP so is anybody coming up with decent prices for AoA? As would rather go there I know my boys would! :)

Also, when do you think the price of these rooms are going to go down to a "value" price resort?

They won't. The regular rooms might be the same prices as other values, we don't know yet because they're not available for booking. But I doubt the prices of the suites are going to come down. It's not much of a 'value' resort.

To answer your other question, it looks like the resort is opening in phases with the Finding Nemo section being completed first.
