Wow those rooms look amazing...definitely immersed in Disney. I hope they keep the decor the same in the actual rooms. That seemed to be the one thing I didnt like about some of the Deluxe resorts, the themes are not as Disney is this looks. AKL could have easily been Lion King themed for at least some of the rooms.

Thank you . I am so glad to see we are not the only one who have boys and are ready for a boy themed area. Funny thing is our biggest fan for cars is there over 40 year old Aunt and here Twin boys who will be 19 at the time we go Sept 2012

These floorplans don't mesh with the art from the D23 expo ... at least the furniture layout. The D23 shows the tables have 4 chairs (and turn to beds?).

I saw those last week and I think those are some that are 'proposed' by a Disney fan...not necessarily designers of the resort or even for Disney. You can read about the sites photos here:

If you scroll to the bottom few photos he even says he designed them, and that if you like those floor plans then email them to Disney. So they are NOT what Disney released.

Thanks for posting that link. We won't be heading back until October of 2012 and I'm waiting to see when the resort will open.

before we went to the ASMU this year, I was under the impression that the buildings were spread soooooo far apart and the back buildings were sooooooooo far from the entrance. Which I'm sure is what they want you to think so they can convince you to pay the $$ for Preferred. It didn't apply to me anyways as we were staying in the suites, and granted I never did walked all the way to the back buildings (only to the little pool) but I couldn't believe how close our building (Jazz) was to the front. I was expecting it to be like a 6-7 minute walk when it was really a 2 minute walk.

I will say after 3 stays at AsMu and being in Tim buck too of rock inn twice Preferred at Music looks pretty darn nice. I will not pay prefrerred at Movies to b closer, yes to stay at that resort I am but that's for the resort not location.

We were in the tim-buck-too of ASMU last December. Country Fair facing some scraggly woods, lol. Looking at the maps of the resort later I think we were the farthest away than any other set of rooms. Never again, lol.
As far as the suites, ASMU or AOA, I am disappointed that they have none with double beds. I go with my adult daughter & 2 grandkids (9yr olds) & it's usually her sharing a bed with 1 child & me sharing with the other. This next trip my other daughter & grandchild are going so we thought about the suites but don't like the idea of all the pullouts.

Disney's rooms are always themed very well yet understated. This is just too much in your face, shoving it down your throat that the room is themed after an animated movie.

I think there is room for an in your face fun room, my girls loved the pictures, if I were to go with just adults, yeah I agree would not pick this resort, likely GF or Contemporary, but for the kids its pretty cool.

My DS is so excited about this resort. I think it looks really cool as well. We might do our first night there for our Dec., 12 trip to save on points and to let the kids give it a try.

I definitely agree that kids will love the rooms. But as someone who doesn't have kids yet, I'd rather stay at another resort. Maybe I'll stop by to check it out up close next year.

We should start a thread. I think there are a couple of us that will be going again in 2013 from the September boards. Are you going to go in December or stick with the same time frame? I really want to see the Christmas party.
