We are just starting to plan for Feb 2013... hoping they have free dining then as well. Considering staying at A0fA but will have to see about pricing.

no. She can add you to her account for a cost, but I can't even use my husbands, we each have to have a card in our own name. Now if your mom goes with you, you can use it.

Great, thanks! She hasn't committed 100%, but at this point it looks like she'll be joining me.

NOT having read the 73 pages-- I apoligize for my question.

Will this resort have their own buses or share with the Pop Century?

will that mean you will have to walk across the bridge to get to the buses?

Having wheel chairs/ strollers that may mean a hike for us.

For us I wonder if it would be a lot cheaper just to get two rooms

We are booked in a cars suite for the end of august. where is the food court going to be? and does anyone know if there are refillable drink mug station at each section (lion king, cars, etc) or only in the food court?

Trying to plan a garden grocer order for our trip.

Just curious....if they offer free dining during that time but not at AOA family suites....will you still stay there and pay oop for the dining plan? We reallly want to stay there for our end od aug. Trip but don't think I can justify it if I can get it free staying at all stars.

Yes, we are already paying for the dining plan. I booked this trip in August last year. We have been making monthly payments. If free dining is offered and included for AOA, great. If not, we will not worry about it. It is our first trip to WDW.

I'm planning a garden grocer order so we can have some snacks, milk, quick breakfast items and coffee stuff in our room to supplement the dining plan. We also have kids who like to snack at night before bed and we want to have some quick things without running about.

I'm just trying to figure out how we can best use the drink mugs in conjunction.

If free dining is offered but not to AoA guests, we will most definitely need to rethink our accommodations.

If you request certain areas-- like the Cars suite-- is that guaranteed?

When I've poked at AOA reservations online, I've seen the room choices specifically labeled with "Cars," "Finding Nemo" etc., so I'd expect that when you make those choices you'd get what you reserved. I haven't seen where you would choose just "suite" without knowing what section it is in.

If you call in, we can book the generic family suite category. That's for if you have no preference. Otherwise, you book the section you want.

is this the "official" AoA thread that I am supposed to follow to see if Pop and AoA are "sister" resorts...?

is the wall on the bridge at the start of AOA down or not?

the last pictures that I saw - the wall was still up.

since disney makes the deluxes share a bus - would think they would share - however others here have stay it would not.

you would never have to walk across the bridge to get to the buses - even when resorts share they each have their own bus stop. with the size of AOA it might have more than one bus stop.

think it is definitely cheaper to get 2 rooms - but kept in mind with Disney 2 connecting rooms are never guaranteed. if you want your family to be together then AOA suites or ASMu suites is your only choices if you want a value resort and staying onsite. Now if you would be happy with 2 adjoining (not connecting) rooms then would go for 2 rooms.

Yes, it will be MUCH cheaper to get 2 connecting rooms than one of the AOA suites - but the Little Mermaid standard rooms won't open until the very end of the year, so if you are going this September that won't work. We have gotten 2 connecting rooms at the value resorts numerous times and it's worked out fine. If you have have a handicap room request that will have to be honored and really with you traveling in September, which is one of the slowest seasons of the entire year, I wouldn't worry about not getting the connecting rooms request.

Even if you stay at AOA, they would most definitely have their own bus stop and it's highly unlikely they will "share" buses. But, really, even if they "share" buses it's not that big of a deal. We have stayed at the All-Star resorts many, many times and have probably taken those buses a hundres times and have "shared" a bus only a handful of times - not really a big deal at all.

I did call today and price out some different options to include the free dining but it just wasn't worth it to us to switch. So, we are indeed staying out at AOA for our upcoming trip. Now, we might have considered it if the other family suites weren't excluded from free dining as well.

But, oh well.
