We are staying in LM rooms for our stay (check in 9/30) with free dining. They may only have a certain number of LM rooms available on the promotion (or some will exclude them) -- it all really depends on what promo you are using and how quickly you book.

This is what another poster posted about the FD. People said he posted this last time and he was dead on so this is probably accurate.

Hello again my friends, for the second consecutive year I´m bringin the Free Dining offer news for this fall, and the best it´s that only in 10 days it will be out
OK after all the negative comments about the credibility of my previous year announce and after the release in the exact day that I have predicted I hope that all of you are more confident this year.

These are the dates of the new offer that will be released in July 12

9/30 to 10/4

10/19 to 11/1

11/9 to 11/15

11/23 to 11/29

12/10 to 12/13

ONLY TO CLARIFY YOUR CHECK IN DATE MUST BE IN ONE OF THESE TIME FRAMES AND YOU WILL GET FD FOR YOUR ENTIRE STAY UP TO 14 DAYS OK?

All resorts will be included except the LM rooms at AOA.-

Like the last promotion quick service for values and standar dining plan for moderates and the luxes

Hope that these dates work well with your plans and knowing that this announce will bring happiness for a lot of families I send all of you a lot of Pixie dust.....

I think they booked so many under PIN codes that many of the nights included are already sold out, so no need for FD on this promotion. That said though, if people booked AoA in anticiption of a fall FD offer (not under a PIN code) and change now to another resort, they could add some rooms into the promotion inventory. Stay tuned.

I think that considering the price of the suites, they should get regular DP - just saying.

But you can get the QS plan free for up to what.......... 6 people in a suite? THAT is the additional consideration you get for the higher price.

Oh! you're making me want to break my budget and head to WDW for Christmas!

That's true, I hadn't considered that. Plus, I suppose they are considering all the revenue they get from families upgrading in order to do character meals.

We actually prefer QS as it is less out of pocket and less time spent on ADR's. If the FD isn't offered next year for LM, we will probably POP back to our other home. Hmm, wonder if there will be bounce back offers in the rooms?

ITA :thumbsup2

True - but you have to buy tickets for 6 people too.. and it is still more expensive than two connecting rooms that could potentially have eight people...

Though any free food is great popcorn::

My son is a very picky eater. We've eaten at the food court at AoA twice. He got pizza each time. He usually doesn't like seasoned fries, but he liked them. Each time we got the pesto cheese bread. The first time he loved it. The 2nd time we ate there, the bread was mostly green on top from the pesto and he said it was "too spicey". He liked the pizza each time.

The buildings at AoA are set up pretty much like the buildings at Pop Century. Being in the LM section should be like being in the 50's section, if I am thinking correctly.

My daughter hasn't even tried eating pizza, but I hope she will before October.
She likes fries....not so sure about seasoned fries though.

Look at it this way. The walk shouldn't really be that long as you and your DD will probably be like us, enjoying the sights walking thru the Lion King section. There will be so many things to see and photo-ops in LK and LM (plus your little girl will probably love the playground in LK) that the walk won't seem far at all. As for the food, we eat most of our meals in the parks. Don't forget that there is a pool bar at the main pool and it probably has some 'snack type' foods like hot dogs and such. You're probably going to love staying at the AoA! It's not often that you get to stay in a brand new resort!:thumbsup2

I was more concerned about the distance when returning from the parks in the evening. Probably having to carry DD. But overall I guess we'll be alright. I'm sure I'm just overthinking things.

We'll be on the QSDP so we will be eating at the food court a couple of times.

But that last sentence of yours really helps. :-) That's what made me switch to AoA to begin with. A brand new resort is hard to resist.

MeMom ... WOW WOW WOW ... great photos ... cannot believe how much there is over at AoA ... boy am I going to be busy taking photos when we get there!

I cannot wait!!! We will be arriving at AoA on September 18th and it couldn't come fast enough!!! We were booked at CBR at first, we are going to be sailing the Dream 5 days later, but after looking more into this resort, we just had to switch and luckily we were able to get into the LM section.

I do not usually care to stay at Values, but AoA definitely seems to be the exception. It my never be a top resort for me, but as its looking right now, it looks like a resort I will always consider staying at. I think it looks incredible and is such a step above. To me this resort is the closest experience you can have to actually staying in the Parks. Very impressed :goodvibes

Thank you for the replies. We arrive New Year's Eve and plan to just hang out at the resort. Pretty sure we won't be able to get into one of the parks. I thought we might see some that first night. I would'nt miss any fireworks in the parks.

How long does everyone think the high demand for the LM rooms will last? We are planning to go June 2013, so I had thought I would wait and book our trip sometime in late Nov/early Dec. However, now I'm thinking maybe I should go ahead and book the trip with a minimal deposit for now just to hold our spot. We are surprising our kids, and honestly they'd be happy anywhere, but I've got my heart set on staying at AoA. I would love a suite but it won't work in our budget.

That's hard to say, but they are more limited in number than the suites, so that could be a consideration there. If if were me, I would just book a room-only rate with a one night deposit to hold my room. I think we paid around $156 with tax for a one-night deposit on our upcoming Thanksgiving trip for a LM room. Our rate is higher because it's a holiday week of course.

October 16-24 for me!

It seem so far away right now and I was just there in April. I stayed offsite at Orange Lake Resort that time but this time I'll be staying at AOA in a LM room.:yay:

we will be there at the same time!! :cool1:

I know someone asked it before (in this thread maybe?), but I never saw an answer. Are bed rails available? If not, we'll just put pillows all over the place. We tried getting rid of DD4's bedrail and she fell out of her full sized bed the first night.

I am so confused! Don't know what to do.
We were originally booked to stay at the POP, but I changed the reservation to AoA.
I'm still excited to stay there, but the distance from the LM rooms to the bus stops might make me change the reservation back to POP.
Another issue would be my DD5 who is a picky eater. I can't really see anything on the kids menu that she would like. No simple sandwiches...no hotdogs...:-(

We upgraded our child to an adult ticket for a total of about $20 more so he could get the adult meals instead of a kid's meal.
