Disney's Art of Animation Resort hotel

I read on the WDW site that prices will start at $159. Question is, does that mean for a standard room or the suites?? I was guessing that the suites would be higher since the ones at ASMu start at $194.

I'm betting that is for a regular room. Unless that is a suite during the value season. Not sure what they run in Value season. I'm sure the prices wil lrun the same as ASMu

That's weird. They aren't supposed to open until summer 2012 and since you aren't supposed to able to book more than 11 months in advance it shouldn't be showing you this hotel as an option. How big is your party? Maybe that will answer the question

I was told if free DDP is offered for the resort, then it's offered to any room type in the resort

That has been the case with the All Star Music family suites but not with suites at other resort levels. The junior suites at Coronado are consistently excluded from discounts, including free dining.

I would assume for AoA, though, that both pricing and discount eligibility will mirror what we currently see with ASMu.

thanks for the info! I can't wait for next year! Where did you find the website for that info!

Go to the WDW site, then click on Places to Stay, then click on Value resorts. Select AOA and another resort then click on compare. The strange thing is - I looked at this again last night and it read $256 per night and checked it this morning and now it reads $154???? :confused3

. . . okay I just tried again and now it reads $275!!!!!!! I have no idea what is going on!!!:confused3:confused3:confused3

what do you do after you check the compare buttons? nothing happens for me and I don't see a continue type button

OK, call me blind I see compare at the top now and it's showing all star mu and AoA as starting at $82 each

Okay, so I think I've figured this out. No matter what resort you choose to compare AOA with, it gives you the price of the other resort. I selected AOA and CR, so it read that the AOA price was $300. I then selected AOA and a campsite, so it read $46.
Too bad though!! I was hoping that these would be less than the ASM suites!!! Not sure why I would think that though, just wishful thinking I guess!

I just have to say that I think Disney is really getting it right with the new AOA resort. We def need more values, mores suites, and more current theming. I am also thankful that they DIDN'T continue with the Legendary Years theming. I forsee all 4 themes being a great hit! Still crossing my fingers that they will have a few standard rooms in each section and not just The Little Mermaid. Wishful thinking :lovestruc

If they do offer FD for this resort in 2012, you would def have to be on the phone first thing in the morning of booking day to get.

Regardless, we hope and plan to stay in the Little Mermaid rooms in 2012. I was telling my DD3 all about it tonight and she is soooo excited already. Probably not as excited as mommy :cutie::cutie:

mickeystoontown the CBR in March 2011 is cancelled because my dad had a bad stroke and we have to cancelled March to April 2011 to Polynesian! I hope you understand!

I hate to hear about your Dad. Hopefully he will be well enough to travel in April!
