Disney's ALL-STAR SPORTS RESORT Information & Questions

How crowded is the hotel right now?
We were there 8/17-8/24 and Sports didn’t seem overly crowded. Didn’t see a bunch of touring groups or dance/sports teams. It wasn’t desolate though, we typically had full buses and never once had to stop at music/movies for more pickups, which hasn’t happened for an entire stay in a while.

Parks itself were much busier than expected for late Aug. where we had expected very low crowds. Wait times were manageable with LLs, RD, etc., but vs expectations. Nemo was 40 and 30 min posted for our 2 separate rides, for instance - and we usually don’t want to go into that queue for over 20.

We r right now at *** not seemingly crowded love the new rooms really happy the new Murphy bed idea is amazing , have not seen crowds but went to Hollywood studios 1pm to 3pm and literally died from the heat it was only91 but truly misery 50 minute wait for Star Wars rise walk in I have been to Disney more than 20 times and have never left a par\k… the temp and humidy was unbearable saw so many adults and kids with bright red faces looking like heat stroke

Most,if not all, should be back in South America or in transit as they must return to school.

The next big months for the 15s will be January/February 2025.

My friend and I are planning a trip for mid-January and have never stayed at Sports before. What timeframe in January do they usually start showing up?

Any time in January and definitely in mid-January.

BUT January is NOTHING like July for the 15s in terms of numbers.

And post Covid we have only seen a handful of 15s groups each January.

However this July saw the 15s return to pre Covid July numbers so that may be the case for January 2025 as well.

I wouldn't worry too much about it though.

The big thing for All-Star Sports will be January 17-20 when the College Cheer and Dance Championship will INVADE :) the Resort.

Thank you - this is so helpful! We are looking to check-in on the 21st, so that should work out fairly well for us.

Do the SATGs still come in February as well? I'm currently booked at Movies (I figured with a pool down for refurb it might be less attractive for people), but if it's high SATG season I might bump up to a Mod.

Definitely, most of the Cheerleaders will leave on the 20th.

You will probably run into a few who will stay for a few days and tour the parks with their families-no big deal.

You definitely won't see the scene below.lol :)

As for the 15s,we will just have to wait and see-we will be there about the same timeframe.

Yes,Brazil 15s come in January and Argentina 15s come in February.

But even if it returns to Pre Covid February levels this February,it will be luck of the draw as to how often you encounter them.

Could be a little,could be a lot.

And the smaller numbers Post Covid could continue which won't be much of a problem-really no way to know in advance.

I don't know if I would change to a Mod just because of the 15s(they sometimes stay at Mods as well)-if it was July maybe.

I will say it was quite a jolt to see them in large numbers again in July!lol

We stayed at Sports during the hurricane (Milton) and there was no visible damage as far as I could see. Although a few of the white top pieces on one of the big coke cups fell to the ground, but that was all we could see.

erider thanks for the update.
How was it being there during the storm?
Where you able to get food easily?

Bit late to react, but we fared really well there during the storm. The food court was open till about 7.30 in the evening and served all kinds of hot food. After that there was a mandatory curfew to stay in your room. The morning after the food court was open again for normal hours and they served all the food they usually serve. I thought Disney organized it well and we felt very safe in the hotel.
