Thanks for being paitent guys... I have been really busy since I got back. Saturday was my actual birthday and I was pretty busy all weekend. I am also in the process of moving and that takes up alot of time right now too. But I am determined to finish this!
So, lets move on to Part 3!!!
After our rainy ride down Splash Mountain, we decided that we were finnally ready for some food! Neil being a picky eater, we headed to Red Rocket's.
After some mediocre undercooked pizza, we packed up and headed towards the main entry plaza with DCA as our destination!.
Neil had never been to DCA, as the last time he visited was prior to it's construction.
(Neil making silly faces in the rain)
I stopped to smile... apparently I cannot walk and smile at the same time.
Our first stop in Neil's first DCA tour had to be TOT, as Neil was complaining that DLR did not have any scary rides.
I think he is actually trying to look cool in this photo...
No scary rides... huh? Notice the look of pure terror on Neil's face.
I did not know it at this time, but apparently TOT was a little much for Neil. I think he will ride it, but I don't think he enjoys it. I feel bad, I made him go on it several times.
After Tower, we headed over to watch Muppets 3D, as both Neil and I share an unnatural love for the muppets.
I wished I would have taken more pics but I became to absorbed in the preshow.
Once the show was over, I suggested Monster's inc, but Neil only had one thing in mind... California Screamin!
We cut through the new path the leads into Bug's Land from Hollywoodland. Nice shortcut! I hated having to walk all the way back to the sunshine plaza and then pass Bug's land.
As to be expected, there was only a 10 min standby wait for Screamin. We quickly headed up the stairs.
It stopped raining long enough for us to get on the ride and make it all the way through the loop and then it started up again. I don't know if you have ever been on Screamin in the rain, but it feels like razor blades hitting your skin. It's pretty cool, but painful.
Neither of us could open our eyes!
Since it was still coming down pretty heavy, we hopped in line for TSMM. This is a great one to get in line for in the rain... Both times I have done so I have not waited more than 15 minutes.
Mr Potato head would make one big box of fries.
After a fun time on Mania, at which I wupped Neil's butt, we headed back to Screamin!
Needing a break, I stopped at the Grizzly River Trail smoking section and Neil was fascinated by some wild mushrooms.
After I put out my cigarette we headed back to
Disneyland proper. Upon exiting DCA, we were informed that the parks would be closing early due to the low attendance. We were disappointed, but wanting to make the best of it we decided we would just try and do as much as we could before our ressies at ESPN Zone. Knowing that the park was still empty, we headed to Fantasyland.
Just a pic of us in line for the Matterhorn....
After our bobsled run down the snowy mountain, we headed over to say hello to some Disney ducks. We quickly learned that Neil was able to become their lord with leftover foccacia bread from pizza port.
After feeding our web toed friends we headed back to fantasyland to take in some of the dark rides. Little did we know that we would be walking straight through hell!
Part 4 coming soon!
