Disneymoon for two... A land/sea adventure! My Pre-Trip report

So today at 11, I had to go back for a second interview at the bank I applied for. Apparently the assistant manager and the branch supervisor wanted to interview me, even though the manager basically loved me! Both him and the assistant are very young, hes under 30 (he said) and she is similar in age. The young team seemed alot more fun then normal. Any ways, I get home and I'm barely through the door and my cell rings and he offers me the job!!! Sweet! It's just a teller position but its better then no job at all, and I would have plenty of opportunity to advance within the company. So I start the 30th! This gives me the next week to relax and get some new clothes, haha and now I dont have to feel so guilty about all my disney planning!

Weird my DBF and I are going to be at WDW December 15-20. We are also doing MVMCP on the 16th! I am subscribing to your TR. popcorn::

We are BOOKED!

Southwest opened up their flights today through Jan 2009. When I woke up this morning the first thing I did was get online to see what is available. They only had 5 flights, 2 un-available at the Wanna Get-Away rate, flying out of Albany to Orlando. and they only had 3 flights out of Orlando. SO i decided to booked then and there. We booked a 12:30 flight out of Albany to MCO. It is non-stop so we should be there around 3:30. So that part was easy.

Now the problem. The 3 return flights 1030am, I was worried this is too early since DCL says to allow atleast 3 hours to get through customs and to the airport and through security before your flight, so that was a no! Next time 2:45, perfect timing but the price was $259 each!!! WAYYY more then I wanted to spend. The last flight is 7:00pm and $169. This would mean we will be stuck at MCO for like 10 hours on sunday. :( So I talked to DF and we both decided that being stuck there is still CHEAPER. Plus we will have our laptops, cell phones and I can shop and DF can eat. So we booked the 7pm flight out.

So what does this mean for our itinerary??????

This makes our days a bit more relaxed. Since we will be arriving around 3:30 on friday, After we get to the resort, via ME, and checkin, we will grab dinner then head over to Mini-golf and catch the Water Pagent at the Poly. Then possibly head to DTD. Then on Saturday we have alot less to do and can spend the whole day exploring the resports and the boardwalk and in DTD.

I am so relieved that we finally have our flights booked. So now a few small changes to our plan and we should be set!:) HAHA who am I kidding?

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know I'm still here!:) Just very busy. Working at a bank is very hard, there is alot to learn and so much standing. I usually go to bed around 9pm and wakeup at 6 and go to work. So i havent had much time to plan Disney.

So far all is well, just waiting to book our pre-nights at ASMu, hoepfully soon:goodvibes I got more lime green mickeys from the Home Depot and I have started picking up little things here and there for our trip. I got us Passport holders and ponchos the other day. I figure picking things up here and there will make it seem like less money we are spending. :rotfl:

Anyways I need to make a list of things I need to purchase for the trip. Its just been so busy with work and looking for an apartment. But hopefully I will have some good Disney news soon!!!:) Thanks for sticking in there!!!:thumbsup2

Wow it has been a while since I have done an update but today I noticed its 127 days till my wedding!!!!!!!!! Which means.... ONLY 134 days till DISNEY!!!

We just recieved a package from DCL about booking excurisions and travel information. September 30th is our final payment due date, so we can book with in a few days of that. I better get moving on that.

I am still waiting for Disney to release codes for room-only reservation for December. We still haven't booked our room for the first two nights.

I am extremely dissapointed in the clubs in DTD closing before we get there. We really wanted to try the Comedy club and the Adventurer's club. I guess that will cut down the amount of time we spend down there then.

Does anyone know how to make the Lime Green Mickey tags? I got the paint chips but I don't know if I am supposed to cut them out of something else.

I guess thats it for now, but please keep reading and commetting! :)

Wow its been over a full month since I late updated this PTR.

Well we are down to 105 days till our Disneymoon!!! almost double digits! we are 95 days away from the wedding:bride: Things are getting stressful, so I am using my wonderful Disney as an escape!

Unlike my PTR I am managining to keep up with some of my subscriptions on the DIS, and the Poly thread is my favorite. I have learned so much from there that I plan to use on our trip. I have decided that we won't request a specific longhouse, but I do want to ask for upper floor with balcony. I have my fingers crossed for an upgade (anything would make us happy) but I am not hopeful, since we are doing the Land/sea, we might not be able to get an upgrade, even if we offered to pay for it :sad2:

I have been holding out for a Disney Visa code, but since one hasn't come out yet I decided to go ahead and book our first two days at All Star Music. So we will be there Dec. 12th and 13th. If the code comes out I will try to get the discount! We do plan to use the Disney luggage transfers from Music to the Poly on Sunday.

We have started Disneymoon shopping:) I am still looking for comfy shoes. I am a flipflop girl, but last trip i brought a Brand New pair of Old Navy flipflops and completely wore a hole in them by the end of the trip, so I would like to try something different this time. I am waiting for the back-to-school stuff to end so the malls are swarmed with teens and screaming kids,

Hopefully more to come soon! Thanks to those who are still reading :)

I am working, slowly, but working on wedding/honeymoon planning. Tonight I worked on the invitation wording and updating our wedding website, which I decided to include on a notecard in the invitations rather then incloseing Directions and accommidation cards. The website will allow easy access and way more information then we could place on the cards, also the website has our wedding registrys on it, which we thought was a tasteful way to let people know what we wanted.

Tomorrow i am going apple picking, so I will enjoying apple cider and donuts all day. I will also be working on more invitation stuff maybe even printing them out. Hopefully we will be done with them by the 30th when we are supposed to be sending them out.

On your "to do" list, don't forget you daily 5 minutes of panicking!!:scared1: :lmao:

(I prefer mine around 3:30 in the afternoon - wakes me up for the rest of the day at work ... :rotfl2: ...)

So there is only 3 days till the wedding and just over a week till our Disneymoon, Talk about stressing out! I have many last minute details to work out and then maybe relax for five minutes before i walk down the isle!

Oh quick note on Southwest, they may be a great value for the luggage and lack of fees but be wery of booking too early! we booked in June and 3 times has the price gone down, fairly drastically and they will only give you a credit that has to be used before one year of the orginal booking date, (in this case june).

I can't wait to be in Disney again and especially staying at the POLY! I will most deffintely be doing a trip report when I am home!

Much ***** pixie dust for your magical day. I bet you are extremly excited and anxious! Hang in there!

You will appreciate getting to wait a couple of weeks before you head to Disney...you can get wedding stuff wrapped up, and then off to the Magical World of Disney!

Like you, we have to wait to take our Honeymoon at Disney...except for two months rather than 2 weeks! Yuck! We were marrried on Oct. 25th, and our honneymoon is Jan. 8th-15th.

Can't wait to read TR :)

Also, some advice from a newleywed. Everything may not go perfectly for your day, but the day can still be perfect! :yay:

In 27 hours we will be boarding SouthWest and heading to Orlando for our honeymoon.!! I am so excited!

This is a huge trip of firsts: First honeymoon, first flight, first hotel on disney property, first cruise, first trip to the bahammas, first time to ride the TOT, First time during christmas to go to Disney, First MVMCP and so much more.

It has been stressful though, we still have lots of packing today, I left for work this morning with 3 suitcases spralled out on the floor, clothing every wheres, and just a general mess! I need to make DH a list of to-do's before we leave, like take out the grabage  He will be thrilled!

I will be takeing notes and my camera and I can't wait to try a trip report. I am sure this is my last post before we leave! Any one who will be down there too say Hi! We will have our lime green mickey tags with my DIS name on them! See you soon DISNEY!!!!
