i can’t tell you how enjoyable disneyland was. 2 parks you can walk to. Legacy fastpass and max pass. No need for stupid fp+. We loved it. Only reason we’re at dw now is my son having baby so wanted to stay closer to home. And grand Californian puts dw hotels to shame and club was amazing.

Nice to know. We will be staying at the Disneyland Hotel in April for 6 nights.

Yes, for spontaneity, Disneyland can't be beat.

I like that there's minimal planning for a Disneyland vacation. MaxPass is awesome. Glad you had a good time!

To be honest, it makes me nervous. I’m so used to my spreadsheets with my WDW schedule including least crowded park, Fastpasses, ADR’s, etc., I don’t really know what to do with myself. I feel so unprepared. I know it probably sounds crazy, but I have become accustomed to the extreme planning required for a WDW vacation.

If it makes you feel better, you can make your ADR's 60 days out at Disneyland. (For a first timer, do research on a waterside table at Blue Bayou, breakfast character meal at Plaza Inn, any meal at Carnation Cafe, and lunch or dinner at Carthay Circle. Also research the dessert party for World of Color)

That helps! I'm also obsessing over day long tours from Anaheim to Hollywood.
