We are planning on taking our daughter to Disneyland sometime approaching her third birthday and I've never been so I don't quite know what to expect.

What is a good length of days to take a toddler where you feel like you get the most of the experience but don't overwhelm the toddler? I didn't know if we should do 3 days because she may be ready for a break after then or we should do 4 days and feel like we can go at a more relaxed pace.

Also, we were thinking late September/early October and I have seen some blogs say that there is a lot more park maintenance, down rides, and less shows. Will we really be missing out on a lot if we go during a slower season or will we still get the "full experience" if we plan it right? TIA!

There is a Disneyland board on here where you can get a lot of opinions from the Disneyland experts (most people on the families board focus on Disney World). But in my opinion 3 days is great in Disneyland! If you plan on taking it slow or going back for naps you could do 4. I don't think you'll miss much at that time of year (you never know when something will be down for maintenance so it's always a gamble).

Go right before her 3rd birthday so she is still free and you don't have to buy a park ticket! The other nice thing about DL is that the parks are literally right across from each other so you can easily hop from one to the other in no time and everything is so easy to walk around. Staying in walking distance is nice with real little ones, but keep in mind most of the nearby (non-Disney) hotels are really motels, so don't expect anything fancy.

Enjoy your planning and check out the DL board for lots of "super" threads for first time visitors :goodvibes
